Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions, specifically Cloud-based solutions and infrastructure as code. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre- defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer, Cloud Support Associate, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer, Cloud Support Associate, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following skills: integrating development and operations teams to improve collaboration and productivity by automating infrastructure, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines; using Terraform for infrastructure as code, and automating the provisioning and management of cloud resources; using and managing Linux operating systems, including shell scripting, system administration, and troubleshooting; containerizing applications using Docker to enable consistent and portable deployment across environments; developing software applications using the Go programming language; developing emergency access procedures that allow temporary elevated access to systems/data in critical situations while maintaining security and auditability; using Git for version control to enable efficient collaboration and code management; implementing Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions to protect web applications from common threats and vulnerabilities; configuring and managing AWS Elastic Load Balancers to distribute incoming traffic across multiple targets for improved availability and performance; and designing secure software systems architecture, and implementing best practices to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.

Full-Time. Salary: $179,500 - $215,000 per year.
