Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Programmer, Analyst, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Programmer, Analyst, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Building large scale platforms using platform engineering practices; Developing AI platforms to be used by data science groups for building machine learning models; Designing and developing large and scalable platforms using AWS cloud technologies; Developing software or a Microservices environment that deploys as a REST API; Developing and maintaining large scale architecture applications built using serverless architecture on AWS covering all aspects of resilience, scalability and robustness; Designing and developing high quality dashboarding and triggering mechanisms for the alerts to maintain the operational aspect; Developing software utilizing Java Spring and Spring Boot and Maven or Gradle to resolve application dependencies; Developing large scale software with Python and Serverless components to orchestrate the events; Designing and building telemetry and usage tracking solutions to improve tool governance and monitoring; Building applications that utilize JSON and XML formatted data files/service payloads for data transfer; Performing exploratory data analysis within enterprise databases of applications; Performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow and query optimization using programming language such a SQL and Python; Developing with full and effective utilization of the NOSQL databases in the applications; Utilizing advanced techniques to build scalable and fully distributed databases to support multi-region resiliency; Agile development methodology and development and enhancements; Authentication and authorization process used in the enterprise applications for robust security; Working with incidents and problems and triaging them for faster recovery of the applications; Front-end, middleware and backend engineering tasks to collaborate with teams to effectively build solutions without GAPs.
