We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Manager to lead multiple software engineering teams and managers in building and scaling high-quality educational technology products.
In this role, you will provide strategic and technical leadership across several engineering initiatives, empowering your teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and impactful software. You’ll manage engineering managers and senior technical leaders, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
This is a key leadership role that combines technical strategy, people management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with eDynamic Learning’s business and product goals.

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor multiple engineering managers and senior technical staff, fostering career growth and strong team performance
- Define and drive the technical strategy and roadmap in partnership with product and executive leadership
- Establish and refine engineering processes, best practices, and metrics for quality, delivery, and scalability
- Ensure that engineering teams deliver secure, high-performing, and maintainable software across platforms
- Oversee system architecture and long-term technical planning to support business growth
- Drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, DevOps, QA, and Business Systems to ensure cohesive delivery
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, manage dependencies, and ensure reliability and uptime
- Guide resource planning, hiring, and organizational development within the engineering department
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the company
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles, including experience managing other managers
- Proven ability to lead distributed engineering teams in a remote-first environment
- Strong technical foundation in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern web architectures (React, microservices, RESTful APIs)
- Experience overseeing high-traffic, production-grade systems and modern DevOps practices
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated success in building scalable processes for quality assurance, release management, and incident response
- Legally eligible to work in Canada and/or the U.S.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience fostering inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing teams
- Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment
