End-to-end design authority and guardian of Oracle Cloud ERP solution coherence

Entity: Oracle ERP Centre of Excellence
Programme: Oracle Cloud ERP transformation — multi-entity, multi-country rollout
Reporting line: Programme Director
Primary scope: Functional, integration, data and security architecture
Contract: 24-month contract
Mobilisation: September 2026

Purpose of the Role

Ensure end-to-end functional and technical coherence of the Oracle Cloud ERP solution, protect Group-template integrity and coordinate the technical operation of the Design Authority, with cross-module oversight of Finance, SCM, PPM, residual CX, integration (OIC), data, security and reporting. The role supports the progressive transfer of design authority in-house, mentors internal leads and coordinates SIT on a transitional basis until the internal SIT Lead takes over.

Key Responsibilities

  • Target architecture and Global Design: define and maintain the target functional, integration, data and security architecture; review the implementation partner's Global Design deliverables; keep cross-module coherence; favour Oracle standard capabilities over customisation.
  • Design Authority and template integrity: prepare technical evidence for decisions, maintain architecture principles, patterns and the Design Decision / Deviation registers; require formal assessment of country or entity deviations; escalate material risks.
  • Cross-workstream coordination: align Finance, SCM, PPM, residual CX, integration, data migration, testing, reporting and security; ensure consistency between process design, configuration, interfaces, data and controls; resolve cross-module issues.
  • Partner technical assurance: review implementation-partner deliverables, assess architecture impacts of changes and defects, and provide an independent internal opinion at quality gates and readiness reviews.
  • Integration, data and security: govern OIC patterns, error handling and interface ownership; align data structures, migration strategy and reporting dependencies; coordinate roles, access and segregation of duties with Group IT and GRC; assess performance, resilience, auditability and operability.
  • Testing, cutover and knowledge transfer: coordinate the transitional SIT strategy and non-regression approach; support root-cause analysis, cutover and go/no-go decisions; mentor internal leads through supervised design reviews and reusable architecture standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (Computer Science, IS or Engineering); 8+ years of ERP solution architecture with strong Oracle Fusion Cloud exposure, multi-module and complex integration experience in multi-country, supplier-led programmes.
  • Oracle Fusion architecture, Functional Setup Manager, security, reporting and data-model concepts; cross-module Finance / SCM / PPM knowledge with residual CX dependencies.
  • Oracle Integration Cloud, APIs, file-based integration, integration patterns and monitoring; design-authority operation, template-deviation management, data migration, SIT, cutover and operational readiness.
  • Systems thinker with strong technical judgement and constructive challenge; clear communicator, disciplined documenter and coach, effective across cultures and time zones; English fluent, working French a strong advantage.
  • Certifications (mandatory): at least one active Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Certified Implementation Professional credential in a programme-relevant domain (Financials, SCM or Project Management).
  • Strongly preferred: a second Fusion module certification (cross-domain breadth); OCI Architect Professional and an OIC credential where PaaS is in scope; TOGAF an additional advantage. Credentials must be active at appointment and will be verified.

Success Indicators

Integrity and maintainability of the Group ERP template; quality and timeliness of Design Authority decisions; material design issues caught before build or production; cross-module coherence; successful SIT handover to the internal SIT Lead; internal leads ready to design independently; usable architecture standards and reduced dependency on external consulting.
