Solutions Consultant

BigTime is seeking a dynamic Solutions Consultant to join our team and play a pivotal role in aligning innovative solutions to real-world customer challenges. As a key partner to the Revenue Team, you'll help drive growth by delivering compelling demos, crafting strategic solution architectures, and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, from first discovery call through implementation handoff.

You'll work across a range of customer needs, sizes and scopes: collaborating with internal stakeholders, technical experts, and client decision-makers to shape tailored technology solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for a high-performing, customer-obsessed professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative SaaS environment and wants to go deep on a real product, not just run demos off a script. Our ideal candidate has experience in a software environment in a solutions-based role and is motivated to bring AI to the forefront of their tech career.

Who is BigTime?

BigTime is the AI-powered professional services platform enabling intelligent decisions and delivering profitable growth. We've proudly been featured on Inc's 500 Fastest Growing Companies in America for 4 years in a row. BigTime Software is the engine behind the greatest professional service firms on the planet, delivering back-office time/budgeting and invoicing to over 2,500 firms worldwide and tracking over $4 billion in billable time each year. Our flagship product is a SaaS-based system that is custom-built for the professional services industry.

BigTime is a PE-backed company, headquartered out of Chicago, with offices in Chicago, Phoenix and Wroclaw, Poland. We've proudly been named on 'Crain's Best Places to Work' three years in a row. If you're motivated to join a hyper growth organization, we're eager to talk to you.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.

  • Company pays 100% of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance.

  • 401k with generous company match.

  • Hybrid work schedule: in office 3 times a week.

  • Generous time off and paid company holidays.

  • Paid Parental Leave.

  • Fresh fruit, snacks, cold brew coffee/tea, soda and sparkling water.

  • Company provided latest technology & software tools.

  • A collaborative team, strong growth culture, and opportunities to make an immediate impact.

What You'll Be Accountable For:

  • Partner with Revenue Team to lead engaging, value-driven product demonstrations across a mix of quick discovery demos and deep technical deep-dives, tailored to deal complexity rather than a single fixed cadence.

  • Develop and maintain deep expertise in BigTime's own PSA, EPSA, and CPQ products, including project and budget structures, revenue recognition, and configuration options, to serve as the internal and external subject matter expert.

  • Lead discovery sessions with clients to surface business needs and technical requirements, and translate those into scoped solution architectures.

  • Build and contribute to SOWs, capability overlap analyses, and implementation scoping documents as part of the sales cycle, not just as a post-sale handoff.

  • Map customer objectives to product capabilities and illustrate measurable ROI through demos, documentation, and storytelling.

  • Maintain command of competitive positioning against key alternatives in the PSA/CPQ space and adapt demo narratives and objection handling in real time.

  • Act as subject matter expert on key platform integrations (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Jira, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) as they relate to BigTime's core product.

  • Assist with platform configuration, trials, and proof-of-concept development for prospects.

  • Own or co-own the handoff from sales to implementation, including documentation, requirements capture, and cross-functional coordination with the implementation team.

  • Identify and build practical AI-driven tooling and workflows (e.g., API integrations, automation, transcript analysis) to drive efficiency across the sales and solutions consulting function.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on content creation, presentations, and enablement materials.

  • Produce documentation, reference materials, and knowledge base content to support pre- and post-sale engagements.

  • Contribute to internal enablement and external thought leadership (webinars, white papers, etc.).

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in a SaaS Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or related role.

  • Strong understanding of CRM (Salesforce or similar), finance/accounting platforms, and/or project management tools.

  • Comfort working with APIs, scripting, or agentic AI tools to build practical solutions, not just enthusiasm for AI as a concept.

  • Proficient in crafting and delivering personalized software demonstrations that tell a compelling story.

  • Ability to produce clear, structured documentation (SOWs, scoping docs, capability comparisons) under deal-cycle time pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for translating complex concepts into user-friendly language.

  • Strategic problem-solver with a customer-first mindset and a bias for action.

  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments, adapts quickly, and operates with a strong sense of ownership.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience supporting professional services firms or finance teams.

  • Familiarity with integrations like Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, HubSpot, Jira, or Salesforce.

  • Experience with PSA, ERP, or CPQ platforms specifically, rather than general SaaS tools.

The expected salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual salary will be determined on an individualized basis, taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation such as bonuses.
