About the Role

This role is for someone who wants to own the technical win on a product that is still writing its playbook but will take Hightouch from orchestration all the way to the send. You’ll pair deep marketing expertise with strong sales acumen to navigate complex buying processes.

As a founding Solutions Engineer for Lifecycle Studio, you will be the technical counterpart to our founding Lifecycle Studio Account Executives. You will run the full technical sales motion across discovery, solutioning, and validation. This product and sales motion is evolving rapidly and you’ll partner with our Forward Deployed teams to support pilots, hands-on workshops, and implementation.

You will work with lifecycle and CRM leads, marketing ops and martech teams, and data teams and you will compete against much more established solutions, so you’ll need to build credibility quickly on the ecosystem and competitors, role of ai in marketing, and be able to get deep into the details.

Lifecycle Studio is early in their PMF and product development and shipping extremely fast. This role will work cross functionally and have a huge impact on the product, how we go to market, and how we win.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with Sales, Postsales, and Product teams as the dedicated technical lead across Lifecycle Studio opportunities, from first technical conversation through discovery, evaluation, and close.

  • Lead discovery across the full lifecycle workflow: how briefs, audiences, content, journeys, QA, approvals, and sends work today; where templates, assets, and personalization and consent data live; what the current ESP is and is not good at.

  • Architect ESP consolidation and migration paths, including phased cutover plans, volume splitting during transition, journey and template migration, engagement-data writeback to the warehouse, and a clear-eyed view of what stays on the incumbent platform.

  • Own the technical side of deliverability conversations: shared versus dedicated IPs, IP and domain warming plans tied to sending volume, seed testing and inbox placement, feedback loops, bounce and complaint handling, and the engagement diagnostics customers use to trust a new sender.

  • Design and support pilots with the Forward Deployed team, bringing together warehouse data, brand assets, and ESP templates, then generating real campaigns with agents, orchestrating journeys, and executing live sends against success criteria the customer already reports on.

  • Be the field's feedback loop to Product and Engineering, translating patterns from live deals into prioritized product input on a product that is shipping fast. Enable the broader Hightouch sales and SE teams on Lifecycle Studio as the product expands beyond the founding team, and support Lifecycle Studio opportunities in core Composable CDP and Agentic Marketing Platform cycles.

What Success Looks Like

Quickly build Lifecycle Studio expertise, moving from foundational product, use case, and demo fluency in the first month to independently closing deals within three months. Build the founding Lifecycle Studio technical playbook: demo environments, discovery question banks, migration and warming runbooks, RFP response libraries, competitive positioning, and enablement that scales this motion in collaboration with the Forward Deployed / Postsales team as we scale.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 3+ years of pre-sales, solutions engineering, or solutions consulting experience with ESPs, MCMs, CEPs, or marketing automation platforms - as a user, technical consultant, implementer, or practitioner. You understand how lifecycle teams actually build and ship campaigns.

  • Working knowledge of email and messaging infrastructure: deliverability fundamentals, IP and domain warming, sender reputation, inbox placement, bounce and complaint handling, and the realities of SMS and push delivery.

  • Experience with template and content systems - Liquid or handlebars templating, HTML email development, dark-mode rendering, DAMs, or Figma - and the QA workflows around them.

  • Fluency in consent and compliance for outbound messaging, including opt-in and opt-out management, preference centers, suppression, and frameworks like CAN-SPAM, TCR, and GDPR.

  • Ability to speak the language of email marketing: OR, CTR, CTOR, Bounce Rate, Unsubscribe Rate, CVR, ROI, incrementality, and how creative and campaign decisions and experiments move those numbers.

  • Excitement about being part of a founding team, with comfort building a motion from scratch and operating in ambiguity. You are not inheriting a playbook, you are writing it.

Bonus

  • Genuine interest in AI and agentic workflows paired with intellectual curiosity, high ambition, and ownership.

  • Familiarity with modern data ecosystems: CDPs, cloud data warehouses, SQL, data modeling, integrations, and APIs, with the confidence to navigate a customer's data architecture without needing to be a hands-on practitioner.

  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC, Command the Message, or equivalent value-selling frameworks.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the presence to hold a room spanning marketers, marketing ops, data engineers, and compliance stakeholders.

  • Experience launching a new product or category, or working at a high-growth B2B SaaS company scaling through a significant inflection point.
