Position Overview
The Sourcing Specialist role at Recovery Centers of America (RCA) is a critical position within the centralized procurement function, responsible for leading sourcing activities and managing strategic supplier relationships across diverse categories. This role drives the execution of high-value Request for Proposals (RFPs), and ensures procurement delivers superior quality goods and services at optimal value for the RCA network. The ideal candidate will build strategic vendor partnerships, resolve sourcing challenges, drive operational efficiencies, and lead negotiations of low to medium complexity. RCA seeks a procurement professional with a background in strategic sourcing, capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contributing to the organization's long-term procurement strategy.
 
Specific Responsibilities
* Independently creates, issues, and manages Purchase Orders and Request for Quotes (RFQs) for a wide range of commodities or services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
* Develops, solicits, and evaluates Request for Proposals (RFPs), leading negotiations to secure optimal pricing, quality, service, and reliability while adhering to RCA's standards.
* Conducts negotiations for high-value or single/sole source procurements, developing innovative strategies to achieve cost savings and favorable terms while considering schedule, quality, and compliance requirements.
* Designs and implements negotiation strategies and plans, proactively identifying and managing single/sole source procurement opportunities to mitigate risks and optimize outcomes.
* Collaborates with cross-functional departments to develop and execute supplier contracts that align with RCA's long-term strategic sourcing objectives.
* Builds and maintains a robust, high-performing supplier base, fostering long-term relationships that deliver exceptional service, quality, and cost efficiency.
* Provides expertise in reviewing and refining supplier contracts, offering actionable recommendations to enhance terms and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
 
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in supply chain, business administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on strategic sourcing and vendor negotiations.
* Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, with Excel skills for analyzing complex RFQs, large data sets, and driving data-driven decision-making.
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
* Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

Work Environment: May work in a variety of environments, including professional offices, clinics, hospitals, or outpatient facilities. The role involves limited time on feet and minimal direct interaction with patients.
 
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
 
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
