Speaker Relations Associate Manager

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Speaker Relations. Fortune Live Media’s Programming team is seeking a highly personable, organized, inquisitive team player with a keen interest in live journalism, global news and the personalities that are changing the business world. The Speaker Relations Associate Manager will work across several global Fortune events – both virtual and live. The role will operate in a matrixed environment with touch points across programming, marketing, and production teams. The ability to smoothly juggle multiple projects and stay cool under pressure in a live media environment is essential.


The role will support with administrative tasks, research, database management, and speaker relations for virtual and onsite events.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with speaker outreach including updating CRM systems and internal documents.
  • Responsible for all aspects of speaker relations for assigned live and virtual events.
  • Create and manage programming timelines, working with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Own creation of event-related communications, templates, and run-of-show documents for speakers.
  • Compile incoming speaker nominations and distribute to internal teams as applicable.
  • Coordinate speaker travel logistics, when applicable.
  • Ensure programming teams are adhering to relevant processes.
  • Manage onsite programming teams and materials.
  • Pull and compile lists using Fortune’s custom CRM system.
  • Clear and timely communications with all teams, internal and external.
  • Keep track of programming materials and order supplies when needed.
  • Support the Executive Director of Programming and Senior Manager of Speaker Relations where needed.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 years professional experience in project management, client services or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with senior business leadership.
  • Personable, highly organized, and extremely detailed-oriented.
  • Adept in learning new technologies and software programs.
  • Familiarity with Zoom and virtual event platforms is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Highly proficient in Google Docs, Excel, and Microsoft 365, including, but not limited to, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and mail merge.
  • Ability to travel globally is required.

Compensation Range:

Base Salary $75,000.00 - $80,000.00
