Summary of Job Duties:
The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating event related activities involving parking and charter buses on campus. Duties will require flexible work schedules depending on event needs and activities. Duties require a significant work commitment during home football and basketball seasons, and annual commencement/graduation activities. This requires working with various departments and visiting groups to coordinate an event's parking needs. This position is weather and special event essential. Other duties as assigned.
This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of experience in special events and activities
  • Valid Driver's License 

Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Knowledge of campus parking rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of parking space requirements and specifications
  • Knowledge of campus parking lots, buildings, and facilities
  • Ability to assess the parking needs and facilities for the campus
  • Ability to oversee the activities of subordinate employees
  • Ability to plan and outline parking facilities to accommodate patrons
  • Ability to analyze parking control problems and recommend actions
  • Ability to supervise or lead the work of others

$46,383 - $52,180; Commensurate with education and experience
