Job Summary: The CAC, part of the Baldwin Group Summer Internship Program provides rising college seniors with practical, hands-on experience within the corporate risk management, and insurance industries. Interns in this 8-week program will gain exposure to risk management within a specific specialty line. Departmental/specialty line placement will be based on interest. We have internship opportunities in the following departments:
• Private Equity - Our Private Equity intern will gain exposure to the rapidly evolving and highly successful private equity sector where increased scrutiny has brought about heightened regulation, litigation, and unforeseen risks. This intern will be focused on an industry but will learn several different lines of insurance within the Private Equity space.
• Human Capital Risk- Our Human Capital Risk team partners with private equity firms and their portfolio companies to manage risks tied to their most valuable asset—their people. As a Human Capital Risk intern, you will gain firsthand exposure to both the acquisition due diligence process and the ongoing client service we provide to portfolio companies. This internship offers a unique opportunity to see how we evaluate human capital risks during transactions while also supporting the design and management of employee benefits programs that drive long-term value.
• Tax Insurance - The Tax Insurance Practice is a dynamic and collaborative team that develops innovative tax insurance solutions for clients. The Tax Insurance Intern will work alongside experienced tax attorneys, underwriters, and operations professionals to support the processes and workflows that drive the business. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the tax insurance business, including data management, process coordination, reporting, and workflow tracking. Interns will gain a broad understanding of how underwriting, legal, and operations teams collaborate to deliver solutions for clients.

Dates: June 7, 2027 – July 30, 2026

Compensation: Internships are paid, seasonal positions that are eight weeks in length. The salary range for this position (intend for U.S. applicants) is $24/hr

Course Credit: CAC, part of the Baldwin Group will work with students to meet required course criteria for those who are obtaining academic credit for their summer internship. 

Internship Opportunity:

  • Insurance and Risk Management 101- Opportunity to gain a better understanding of day-to-day risk management in the commercial space
  • Practice Lines Exposure- Learn about various practice lines, product groups and industry verticals in the Specialty group through summer long educational conversations.
  • Networking- Collaborate with clients, markets, and other insurance professionals.
  • Professional Development- Participate in Summer Intern events that will increase business acumen, introduce you to other business areas of insurance, and interact with Specialty leadership.
  • Project Based Data Analysis- Conduct research, perform data analysis, and participate in special client focused projects
  • Comprehensive Sales Project and Presentation- Opportunity to engage in a start-to-finish client prospecting effort where interns will work together to incorporate client engagement, identification of risk, and delivery of solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Rising senior graduating between December 2027- June 2028 actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Preferred prior working experience (can include part-time or school breaks)
  • Communication, networking, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Adaptable to change and enjoys learning in a fast-paced environment
  • Long term interest in a career in insurance
