We are seeking a highly motivated Sr Advanced Project Engineer to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects. The successful candidate will act as the technical focal point between engineering disciplines, programme management, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The  Sr Advanced Project Engineer will combine strong technical knowledge with project management skills to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through integration, verification, and customer acceptance.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Manage and coordinate engineering activities across multiple projects.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Monitor project performance and report progress to stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Support programme reviews, customer meetings, and milestone assessments.

Technical Leadership

  • Act as the technical interface between engineering teams and programme management.
  • Support the development of system architectures, technical solutions, and engineering strategies.
  • Coordinate technical reviews and design activities across disciplines.
  • Drive issue resolution and manage technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure engineering outputs comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with customers to understand project requirements and expectations.
  • Coordinate activities between engineering, quality, operations, procurement, and manufacturing teams.
  • Support supplier and subcontractor management activities.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and customers.

Quality, Risk, and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate technical and programme risks.
  • Support configuration management and change control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and customer requirements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance project execution and engineering efficiency.
  • Support lessons learned activities and best-practice sharing.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience delivering engineering projects within a regulated or high-technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of engineering development lifecycles.
  • Experience managing project plans, schedules, budgets, and risks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Desirable

  • Project Management qualification (PMP, or equivalent).
  • Experience within Aerospace, Space, Defence, Telecommunications, or a similar industry.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and requirements management.
  • Experience with Agile and/or traditional project delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with engineering and project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Confluence, or similar.

The annual base salary range for this position is $94,000 to $125,000 in Cambridge, ON Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
