Sia’s Life Science and Healthcare Business Unit, Sia/LBG, focuses on supporting the life sciences and healthcare industries with strategic consulting, product development and non-dilutive funding expertise. This consulting division works with healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical & biotech companies, CROs, academia, medical device/diagnostic companies, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) alike to solve complex business, scientific, regulatory, technological and product development challenges. Our subject matter experts help advance our clients products and programs; supporting these companies—both large and small—to achieve organizational objectives and create tangible value for their stakeholders.
Job DescriptionSupport the organization in providing program management services to life sciences companies and institutions to advance novel life science products (therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics and devices), primarily in the areas of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense, infectious diseases and other public health threats. Support new business efforts as required for both internal and external clients. This role is designed to develop future technical and program leaders within LBG.
Job Duties:
Provide consulting services for LBG clients including, but not limited to:
- Writing and developing technical solutions in response to government solicitations
- Facilitating government solicitation response submissions and supporting end-to-end proposal development activities
- Providing programmatic support and working closely with the LBG Program Manager to manage the successful planning and delivery of their government and commercial programs.
- Managing and developing non-government organizations (NGOs) and government solicitation responses primarily.
- Developing proposal plans, compliance matrices and tracking tools to enable successful proposal submissions.
- Developing and maintaining core program artifacts, including integrated Gantt charts, statements of work (SOWs), work breakdown structures (WBS) to support complex, multi-year programs.
- Leading and assisting in the management of day-to-day project activities, including organizing and participating in regular meetings, documenting meeting minutes, tracking action items, and supporting required contractual reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting coordination with subcontractors, CDMOs, academic partners, and clinical organizations, including scope development, task tracking, and integration of partner inputs into proposals and program plans.
- Assisting in the technical review of new life science products.
- Assisting in the tracking of project specific budgets.
- Supporting client proposal development activities as required.
- Leading/supporting market research activities as required.
- Traveling to client sites as required.
- Adhering to LBG quality standards with regard to client deliverables.
- Other duties as assigned
Identify and sell new engagements for Company by supporting and/or leading in:
- Supporting the identification and selling of commercial, government, and non-profit funded engagements for Company.
- Supporting the drafting and editing of proposals and engagement documents.
- Supporting the drafting of publications, white papers, and marketing materials
- Supporting the management of existing and potential client relationships
- Supporting the planning, tracking and follow-up on sales and marketing activities in pursuit of engagement opportunities
Create Company Intellectual Property
- Support the creation of internal tools, systems, methods and materials that help the Company perform more efficiently and with higher quality results.
- Support the creation and delivery of publications and presentations that support and build on the Company’s reputation and recognition in its target markets.
Support the growth of the company and Employee’s practice
- Support the management and overhead activities of the Company as agreed on an annual basis with company management. Activities might include but not be limited to the Company’s Recruiting, Staff Training, Development and Mentoring, Staff Reviews, Engagement Economics, Internal Quality Standards, and the Development and Teaching of Company methods for its services.
- BS degree required, PhD Preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience in a consulting and/or life sciences/biotech field.
- Professional communication style and 100% dedication to client satisfaction and support.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or in collaboration with others.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience writing proposals and grants.
- Scientific background.
