OVERVIEW

Morning Brew Inc. is looking for a Creative Strategy Senior Associate to ideate, position, and package best-in-class advertiser programs across sales categories, with a strong emphasis on Lifestyle.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a dynamic creative thinker who can craft compelling stories across all content platforms and brand categories. You know how to translate client objectives and messaging into creative concepts that seamlessly align with MBI’s brand pillars and deeply resonate with our audience. You’re just as comfortable pitching bold ideas as you are backing them up with data, insights, and a fully fleshed-out campaign strategy.

This position will report to a Manager on the Creative Strategy team.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

  • Developing innovative, insight-driven solutions to client challenges and creating impactful proposals that align with the MBI ecosystem, while meeting client goals and KPIs through compelling storytelling across newsletters, social video, editorial, podcasts, events, and more.

  • Collaborating with internal teams (Sales, Account Management, Events, Editorial, Insights & Analytics, etc.) to develop pitches that maximize our chances of winning.

  • Participating in client meetings as the creative voice, presenting ideas with clarity and confidence, guiding creative conversations, and building trust with senior-level marketers.

  • Serving as the liaison for one or more multimedia franchises, working closely with producers and creators to uncover storytelling opportunities that align with client interests.

  • Leading dynamic, well-structured brainstorms and cross-functional meetings that bring out the best ideas from across teams and disciplines.

  • Partnering with Account Management to analyze campaign performance and translate insights into strategic solutions that expand partners into new formats, drive retention, deepen relationships, and fuel year-over-year growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of skills, training and experience.

  • 3-4 years of pre-sale experience at a digital publisher or agency (i.e. building decks, stories, and narratives for RFP responses and proactive ideas/pitches)

  • Strong foundation in brand strategy and creative thinking, with the ability to translate client objectives into compelling narratives that align with MBI’s brand pillars and audience. Adept at leveraging market research, campaign performance data, and audience insights to inform and refine creative strategy, ensuring ideas are both resonant and results-driven.

  • Outstanding communication, collaboration and organizational skills, paired with an impeccable eye for detail and identifying creative opportunities.

  • Ability to present ideas with confidence to senior-level clients, articulating the strategy behind your work, and skillfully synthesizing feedback to refine and tailor media strategies.

  • Journalist-worthy writing and editing skills. A wordnik in a meme world.

  • Deadline-oriented project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight timelines.

  • Culture-first mindset and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across teams and disciplines.

  • Passion for Morning Brew Inc.’s editorial brands and mission.

  • A solutions-oriented philosophy of, “Yes, we’ll figure it out.”

  • Curiosity is part of your DNA. You have your finger on the pulse of cultural trends and evolving media consumption habits. You consistently seek out diverse and unique perspectives.

COMPENSATION $85,000 *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.

BRIEF BREW HISTORY
Morning Brew Inc. was founded in 2015 by two entrepreneurial college students who noticed their peers were not consuming legacy media resources about business and finance news, but had a high desire to learn about those topics. What started as a small on-campus email has since evolved into a multi-channel media company that operates 20+ unique content franchises. All while maintaining our witty, honest and engaging tone that millions of loyal MBI audience members rely upon daily to better navigate the world.

In 2020 a majority stake in MBI was acquired by Axel Springer SE and in February 2025 that position was increased to full ownership of the business.
