Lead engineering and Level 3 support for BusinessObjects XI R3 environments: troubleshoot, tune performance, manage infrastructure, security/SSO, migrations, capacity planning, and support sandbox/dev/test/production systems while working with business and technical stakeholders.
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Level BOE XI Engineer. This role will assist in the resolution of platform issues pertaining to the BOE XI R3 platform, including integration with other technical components and systems.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Engineer solutions of current R3 platform issues
- Engineer supporting technologies of BOE XI R3e.g. Monitoring,
- Disaster Recovery, Security, Migration, SSO, Archiving, etc
- Monitor capacity planning of BOE XI environment
- Debugg problems, testing and implementing changes
- Support Sandbox and Unit/Dev BOE XI R3 environments
(administration of system, users, and security)
- Provide Level 3 Support for the Test/Model & Production BOE XI R3
environments - Work with customers, business analysts and technical staff to support, maintain and enhance BOE XI components, business intelligence solutions, and procedures.
- 8+ years of SAP Business Objects (BOE XI) engineering and/or administration experience (deployments, troubleshooting, configuration, and installation)
- Performance tuning/analysis/optimization of XI R3
- Hands-on management of BOE XI infrastructure
- Solid Solaris OS and WebSphere Application server experience
- LDAP and Siteminder SSO experience
- Experience working in a complex BOE environment
- Experience in configuring and administering security in BOXI
- Experience in the migration of content between various BOE XI
environments - Solid understanding and hands-on experience of Business Objects XI Applications (Webi, InfoView, Crystal, Deski, and Universe Designer)
