Job Summary
The Senior Compensation Analyst is a critical role on Jackson Lewis’ total rewards team and will be involved in all of the firm’s compensation processes. Partnering with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and business unit leadership, they will be responsible for benchmarking jobs against survey data, producing compensation analysis and recommendations for leadership, and administering annual compensation planning. The Senior Compensation Analyst will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the company is competitive in terms of salary and overall compensation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct compensation benchmarking against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position
- Administer the annual compensation and bonus planning processes
- Review new positions in anticipation of recruitment activities to ensure proper classification, recommend edits to descriptions as needed to maintain clarity and consistency
- Prepare and maintain summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information
- Gather data from market-based compensation surveys, uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess market trends and recommend competitive adjustments
- Provide guidance to Talent Acquisition, HR Partners and managers on all compensation-related matters
- Participate in data input activities for annual salary surveys
- Collaborate in the recommendation of compensation programs and policies; recommend updates and changes as appropriate and determined through research and analysis
- Maintain and audit compensation-related data in Workday
- Maintain tracking of job descriptions and pricing benchmarks
- Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support and lead compensation projects as needed
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Exceptional skill in analyzing data with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain 100% data accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to conduct statistical analysis and provide data-driven business recommendations
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to build rapport with employees and managers in conducting job reviews
- Experience conducting compensation surveys
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, finance, statistics, or related field required
- Experience with Workday or similar HRIS and reporting
- At least 3-5 years of experience with compensation data analysis and surveys
- Law firm experience desired

For New York Metro Area, the expected salary range for this position is between $135,000 and $145,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
