The (Senior) Consultant will work primarily on teams led by Engagement Managers and Principals to meet goals and objectives as outlined in client contracts/agreements. Under supervision, the (Senior) Consultant will develop and present project plans and proposals, the (Senior) Consultant will have a largely client facing role and may be the day to day client contact on projects. They are expected to oversee deliverables, timelines, and ongoing project execution. They will responsible for quality review of all staff deliverables. Special projects and internal projects will also be assigned on an as needed basis by Engagement Managers and Principals. Projects cover a variety of subject matter topics including:

  • Compliance Consulting (Programmatic design and implementation, business needs and risk assessments, benchmarking, and industry best practices
  • Commercial Operations and Business Process Enhancement (HCP/O engagement process design, operations, process transformation and support of technology rollouts)
  • Fair Market Value (FMV and HCP Tiering Methodology, Rate Analysis, FMV process implementation)
  • Transparency and Aggregate Spend (US Sunshine Act and international laws and regulations)
  • Auditing and Monitoring (live monitoring, transactional and data analysis, compliance auditing)
  • Special projects and internal projects will also be assigned on an as needed basis

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead consulting projects
  • Lead clients in business workshops and interviews
  • Develops project deliverables which could include data analyses and reports, process reviews and assessments, policies, and SOPs etc.
  • Develop, articulate, and present ideas and opinions
  • Manage and take accountability for projects
  • Provide mentorship for junior staff members
  • Develop relationships with clients and identify future opportunities
  • Create project deliverables with some oversight by senior staff
  • Support in growing the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have a track record of success across most of the following competencies:

  • Client Relationship Delivery – Day-to-day owner of client delivery within leading Life Sciences organizations, focused on client satisfaction and outstanding client deliverables.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving - Applies an analytical approach to solving problems and reaching logical conclusions. Gathers information from a variety of sources and quickly gains an understanding of it. Works effectively with complicated, conflicting, or ambiguous information, and looks beyond the surface of issues to identify their underlying patterns and causes.
  • Effective Communication - Expresses ideas in a clear and concise manner; tailors’ message to target audience and can communicate effectively both verbally as well as in writing
  • Planning and Organizing – Ability to prioritize tasks and objectives to personal manage time and resources appropriately. Ability to set and follow deadlines in a consistent way. Prepares backup plans in case the situation changes.
  • Cooperative Teamwork - Builds supportive relationships within a team, based on trust and respect. Requires listening to others, adapts to other people's different work styles and focuses on shared goals. Willing to challenge others and accepts challenges as a way of getting the best results for the team.
  • Business Development - Actively participate in proposal development and ongoing pre-sales meetings with potential new client organizations.
  • Interest in Life Sciences Industry – Strong interest in commercial operations, risk management and business strategy in the life sciences industry
  • International Experience - Has the experience to deliver global compliance client solutions
  • Technological Aptitude - Shows comfort and aptitude in using, positioning, and selling Commercial Compliance technology portfolio in collaboration with our technology team
  • Flexibility - Responds well to change. Positive attitude toward change and a readiness to adapt when presented with new information, new situations or shifting priorities.
  • Influencing - Balances the need to shape outcomes in short term while maintaining successful long-term relationships. Knows how to motivate and inspire to achieve a common goal and demonstrates key strategic negotiation tactics. Uses personal and professional contacts to influence people across teams or organizations.

Qualifications & Other Requirements

In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining IQVIA Commercial Compliance Consulting as a (Senior) Consultant will also have:

  • Minimum 2 – 5 years (depending on level) strategic management consulting or legal experience, preferably with a Big 4, strategy consulting, specialized healthcare consulting or law firm
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; MBA, a Law Degree (JD or other equivalent) or another master’s degree preferred
  • Successful track record delivering projects (on time and on budget)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Entrepreneur, independent worker, organized, self-motivated
  • Analytical and quantitative: comfortable with numbers, strong business acumen, and excellent leadership skills
  • Willingness to have a different opinion, ability to articulate thoughts and concepts well
  • Ability and willingness to strive to improve skills related to the IQVIA core competencies
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Experience or knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and in particular compliance and risk management issues a strong plus
