The salary for this role is $190,000 - $210,000/year + Bonus.
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Director, Global Tax to lead and oversee tax matters across our multinational organization. This role will serve as the central point of tax leadership globally, partnering with regional Finance teams across North America, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC. The Global Tax Director will oversee our international tax compliance program in partnership with KPMG, while also having direct responsibility for North American direct and indirect tax matters in partnership with BDO. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax experience combined with the ability to coordinate tax requirements across multiple countries, legal entities, and regional teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate the company's global tax function across North America, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC.
- Oversee global tax compliance and ensure tax filings, payments, and other requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Serve as the primary internal relationship owner for KPMG and oversee their international tax compliance work.
- Partner with Regional Controllers and Finance teams to identify, manage, and resolve tax matters across the company’s international operations.
- Lead and oversee North American direct and indirect tax, including U.S. federal, state, local, sales and use tax matters.
- Serve as the primary internal relationship owner for BDO and oversee their North American tax compliance and advisory work.
- Coordinate global tax provision requirements and tax-related financial reporting with Accounting teams.
- Oversee tax audits, notices, inquiries, and compliance matters across jurisdictions.
- Manage the scope, performance, and costs of global external tax advisors.
- Support tax matters associated with the company’s global legal entity structure, MIP, acquisitions, integrations, and other projects as needed.
- Drive consistency and identify opportunities to simplify tax processes and strengthen controls across the global organization.
- 10–15+ years of progressive tax experience preferred, with meaningful experience in a multinational environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
- CPA, JD, MST, or similar advanced qualification preferred.
- Strong understanding of global corporate tax and international tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate income tax, state and local tax, and indirect taxation.
- Experience overseeing tax matters across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
- Experience working with multinational Finance and Accounting teams across regions and time zones.
- Experience managing major global tax advisors and professional services firms.
- Strong understanding of tax provisions and tax-related financial reporting.
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate complex global tax matters into practical business solutions.
- Experience within a private equity-backed or highly acquisitive multinational organization is a plus.
