Job Summary
The Senior Director, Information Systems is responsible for leading and managing the organization's Information Systems department to ensure alignment with strategic goals and operational needs. This role oversees the design, development, and implementation of technology systems, establishes IT policies and standards, and ensures the security and efficiency of information processing operations. The Senior Director develops long-term technology strategies while maintaining a focus on innovation, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. This position also involves the selection, development, and leadership of a skilled IT team.
Essential Functions:
- Directs the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of information systems, software, and technology infrastructure to meet organizational needs and goals.
- Establishes and enforces IT policies, standards, and security measures to ensure effective operations and safeguard the organization’s information assets.
- Oversees the administration of the department’s expense budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Provides strategic leadership in selecting, developing, and mentoring qualified staff to maintain continuity of managerial and technical expertise within the department
- Stays abreast of current and emerging technologies and trends through personal research, educational conferences, and seminars to drive innovation and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Ensures maximum efficiency in organizational operations by leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance data collection and recovery efforts.
- Collaborates with executive leadership and other departments to align IT strategies with overall business objectives and deliver optimal technology solutions.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing upgrades as necessary to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Develops and manages vendor relationships to optimize the procurement and implementation of technology solutions and services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, Required
- Master's Degree, Preferred
- 8-10 years of information systems, IT, or other related experience, Required
- 5-7 years of leadership experience in a IT management position, Required
- 3-6 years of cybersecurity experience, Preferred
- 7-9 years of leadership experience in a IT management position, Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems development, and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent strategic planning and decision-making skills to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Advanced understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and industry best practices in information systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex IT challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
