Position Summary

OneSource Virtual is seeking a Sr. Director, Product Owner and Business Analyst to lead ongoing development of our Payment and Tax product lines. The ideal candidate is a seasoned product leader with a strategic mindset, strong execution track record, and the ability to drive transformation in an AI-augmented development environment.

This Sr. Director position is responsible for overall product ownership, team leadership, and championing the adoption of AI-assisted workflows across product management, business analysis, and software delivery. The role requires someone who can operate at both a strategic and tactical level, partnering with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to deliver high-value outcomes.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Product Leadership

  • Define and own the product vision and roadmap across the Payments and Tax product lines
  • Understand and communicate how features deliver measurable value to internal and external customers
  • Identify, articulate, and leverage product differentiators to deliver competitive advantage in the market
  • Lead discovery and definition for new products and enhancements from concept through delivery
  • Rapidly iterate and continuously improve the platform based on customer feedback and market signals
  • Understand business value impacts of prioritization across a broad spectrum of products

AI-Augmented Product Practice

  • Champion and model the use of AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) in day-to-day product and BA work including requirements writing, user story generation, documentation, data analysis, and reporting
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted practices across the product ownership and business analyst team
  • Use AI tooling to accelerate synthesis of customer feedback, competitive analysis, and roadmap prioritization
  • Stay current on emerging AI capabilities and evaluate their applicability to OSV’s product delivery model
  • Partner with engineering leadership to ensure AI coding and productivity tools are effectively utilized across the development team

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Product Owners and Business Analysts
  • Establish and model clear standards for product ownership, story quality, and acceptance criteria
  • Drive continuous improvement activities within agile teams
  • Help define and evolve OSV’s agile processes, standards, and best practices
  • Identify and develop future leaders within the product organization

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Manage stakeholder expectations across all levels, including C-suite, VPs, and Directors
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation skills and the ability to influence senior-level stakeholders
  • Work with non-technical team members to envision clear, high-level technical solutions that meet business and experience goals
  • Communicate project status, readiness, issues, and risks proactively to management and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of how OSV products are used across client and prospect use cases

Delivery & Execution

  • Inspect, adapt, and collaborate as a key member of the Scrum Team and broader product organization
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Scrum Masters, Dev Managers, and engineering leads
  • Identify and prioritize increments of work targeted for each iteration
  • Monitor costs and work within budget constraints
  • Oversee product enhancements and new product launches from beginning to completion

Supervisory Responsibility

This role carries full supervisory responsibilities, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development for a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts. The Sr. Director is expected to build team capacity, set performance standards, and develop talent pipelines aligned to OSV’s growth objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 8-12 years of experience as a software product owner or business analyst, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team of 4-8 direct reports
  • Five or more years of full-lifecycle agile project management or business analysis work experience in a product organization
  • Demonstrated track record with agile software development methods and leading agile teams
  • Experience using AI tools in a professional product or business analysis context (e.g., LLMs for documentation, analysis, reporting, or requirements generation)
  • Success as both an individual contributor and people leader; history of strong positive teamwork and problem solving

Preferred

  • Experience with digital payments, ACH/NACHA processing, payroll tax, or other FinTech products
  • Experience with HCM systems, particularly Workday
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms and their impact on development team workflows
  • Experience in a BPaaS or SaaS product company
  • Exposure to private equity-backed or high-growth environments
