Responsibilities
- Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders and Global Procurement to develop and execute category strategies, including cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and contract negotiations, while providing clear communication at executive levels supported by accurate data.
- Sourcing: Source capital and operational equipment and a variety of service offerings; conduct RFx events and apply demand-management principles within established procurement processes.
- Strategy: Develop category strategies focused on savings, value creation, assurance of supply, quality, and supplier performance; conduct should-cost and benchmark analysis.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms, partner closely with Legal to finalize contracts, and drive alignment across teams through strong negotiation strategy development.
- Management: Oversee relationships with key suppliers, ensuring accountability, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
- Proven negotiation experience with the ability to engage in critical conversations and advocate for Micron's interests.
- Demonstrated experience in contract redlining/reviewing commercial terms for Service Agreements, Software Agreements, and Statements of Work.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-orientation skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for engaging executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Background in artificial intelligence process management.
- Experience with global or regional supplier performance programs, including developing metrics, dashboards, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal direction and strong multitasking capability.
- Background in data analytics.
