DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Manager, IT – Supply Chain Applications leads the strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of technology solutions that support end-to-end supply chain operations within a regulated life sciences environment. This role is accountable for ensuring that all systems (including ERP, Microsoft-based custom applications, and warehouse automation platforms) are GxP-compliant and aligned with corporate security and regulatory standards.

This leader will oversee a diverse global team and a technology portfolio supporting manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics functions, driving operational excellence through digital transformation, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Work closely with the business develop and execute the IT roadmap for supply chain systems in alignment with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and IT leadership to ensure technology solutions meet both operational needs and compliance standards.
  • Partner with global process owners to define system strategy and standardization across ERP, WMS, and automation systems.
  • Champion innovation in warehouse and manufacturing automation, including robotics and data analytics, while maintaining strict adherence to validation and documentation controls.

ERP & Microsoft Application Portfolio Management

  • Lead implementation, enhancement, and lifecycle management of ERP systems (e.g. Oracle) supporting supply chain and manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee design and delivery of Microsoft-based applications using Azure, Power Platform and .NET technologies to extend supply chain system’s capabilities.
  • Manage a structured application backlog, ensuring prioritization based on business value, regulatory impact, and resource availability.
  • Establish a product-oriented delivery model aligned with Agile or hybrid methodologies suitable for regulated environments.
  • Working with in-house custom built applications and their migration to off the shelf, industry standard applications
  • Consolidation of application portfolio, driving simplification, operational efficiencies, and overall cost reduction Warehouse & Automation Technologies
  • Direct selection, deployment, and integration of different technologies that align to the supply chain functions needs and business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging automation and data analytics to enhance accuracy, compliance, and throughput.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and quality to maintain validated states and audit readiness for automated systems.

GxP Compliance & Computer System Validation (CSV)

  • Ensure all supply chain applications and infrastructure are implemented and maintained in compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and company quality system requirements.
  • Promote a culture of compliance by embedding quality-by-design principles into project planning and execution.

Governance, Backlog, and Performance Management

  • Own the supply chain IT governance process for prioritization, backlog management, and change control to balance compliance, innovation, and delivery speed.

Team & Vendor Leadership

  • Lead a global team of IT professionals and business analysts fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Manage external partners and system integrators, ensuring compliance with company standards and quality requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of IT experience in life sciences industry with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record managing ERP implementations and enhancements in regulated environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, Power Platform, .NET) in GxP-compliant contexts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in 21 CFR Part 11-compliant systems.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes—planning, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and distribution—in a regulated environment.
  • Deep knowledge of GxP, CSV, and validation frameworks across the system lifecycle.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success managing product backlogs and balancing business priorities with compliance obligations.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Experience with regulated environments (GMP, FDA, etc.) preferred
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Leadership experience in matrix organizational structures
• Change management and organizational transformation experience
• Up to 25% travel may be required

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
