In this high-impact role, you'll act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, lead strategic negotiations with major automotive and enterprise customers, and work closely with global colleagues to advance HERE's commercial objectives.
What You'll Do
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and draft a broad range of agreements, including licensing, RFP/tender responses, and professional services contracts, across corporate, commercial, IP, and privacy matters.
- Advise senior CCO leaders (SVPs/VPs) on legal risks, compliance obligations, and operational considerations related to HERE's business in EMEA and beyond.
- Own end-to-end contracting processes, partnering independently with internal clients to structure and close deals aligned with revenue and strategic goals.
- Navigate and influence high-risk engagements, guiding internal stakeholders and managing opposing counsel to mitigate legal and business risks.
- Collaborate globally on training, playbooks, templates, and broader legal initiatives that support consistent, efficient commercial execution.
Who are you?
- 5-8 years of experience as a lawyer or in-house legal counsel, preferably focused on complex commercial transactions.
- You have completed a legal education obtained wholly or partly in Germany (e.g. Volljurist, German law degree or LL.M.), with experience in legal practice in Germany, or equivalent experience advising European companies on commercial contracting
- Strong experience in drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial agreements for e.g. e xperience in software data licensing agreements ideally within the technology, automotive, or enterprise sectors.
- High business acumen and the ability to independently and efficiently solve novel legal and commercial challenges.
- A proactive mindset, confident communication style, and the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and counterparties.
- Fluency in German language.
