The Senior Manager of Data Processing will lead the strategy, operations, and future growth of our Data Processing team to ensure the accurate and timely flow of information that powers our genetic testing operations. This leader will be responsible for developing a long-term vision for the function, optimizing workflows, and driving automation to support rapid scaling. The ideal candidate brings a blend of operational excellence, strategic thinking, and people leadership, with a passion for building efficient, high-performing teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree
Experience & Skills:
· 5-8 yrs. management experience
· 4 years’ experience in genetic testing/ health care industry
· 2-5 years working in or directly with laboratory accessioning
· Ability to clearly define customer service workflow issues and work with cross-functional teams to solve them.
· Strong knowledge of Salesforce
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· A willingness to define and navigate ambiguity, pivoting quickly with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a long-term strategy for the Data Processing function that supports organizational scale, operational efficiency, and quality standards.
• Define the future-state operating model, including automation opportunities, process redesign, and workforce planning.
• Analyze current workflows for inefficiencies, failure points, and manual processes; design and implement scalable solutions.
• Drive adoption of system automation, template standardization, and decision-support tools in partnership with Engineering/Salesforce teams.
• Build and maintain robust quality controls to reduce errors, test setup discrepancies, and downstream operational impacts.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective action implementation for recurring data processing issues.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for data processing issues, resolving complex problems with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
• Mentor and coach team members to ensure professional development and alignment with company goals and customer needs.
• Monitor service levels and ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds KPIs including response time, resolution turnaround time (TAT), and client satisfaction.
