Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Research, uncover and develop story angles that will drive media interest for client campaigns 

  • Help identify and craft media pitches that drive press coverage  

  • Contribute to cultivating long-term relationships with key lifestyle, fashion, fitness, sports and consumer media and influencers on behalf of clients  

  • Help support and manage day-do-day account programs 

  • Help draft press materials and internal communications documents 

  • Stay on the pulse of culture and industry trends – keeping up and interacting with relevant media and influencers on a regular basis 

  • Work collaboratively with cross-agency functions (Talent & Influencer, Branded Experiences, Branded Content, etc.) for broader client programs and activations 

  • Own account monitoring and reporting processes, as well as upkeep of brand media lists 

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, and demonstrate an understanding of how they integrate into communications programs  

  • Attend regular client meetings and conference calls 

 

Qualification: 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in integrated communications and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing (lifestyle consumer brand experience preferred) 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university 

  • A solid grasp of all basic public relations tools – including research, writing and editing, and developing/maintaining media relationships – and how they are used to achieve client goals  

  • A fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing media strategies 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with multiple levels of internal staff and external clients  

  • The ability to navigate the ever-changing earned and social media landscape 

  • The interest and drive to stay on top of trends and proactively recommend opportunities for insertion of clients in pop culture moments 

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to work  

  • A strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be a team player  

$60,000 - $80,000 per year

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
