Role Overview

Informed K12 is dedicated to accelerating the pace of innovation within K-12 school districts across the United States. We are building the definitive modern platform for K-12 operations, and we need a visionary product leader to spearhead this foundational modernization.

We are seeking a Sr. Manager or Director of Product Management to own the product strategy for a new suite of modern administrative tools.You will lead the development and scaling of our next keystone solution, which will become the core of a new, intelligent operating system for school districts. This role is for a strategic product leader who thrives on solving complex enterprise challenges and is passionate about building elegant, data-driven solutions that have a real-world impact.

We are currently accepting applications and expect to begin interviews for this role in February.

Reporting Structure

This role will report to the VP of Product and Technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define and evangelize the product vision for our modern platform for district operations. Develop the roadmap for our core automation and workflow capabilities that shift the cognitive burden from users to the system.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Build, scale, and mentor a high-performing team of product managers. Cultivate a culture of trust, collaboration, and first-principles thinking, becoming a trusted career advisor who attracts and retains top talent.
  • End-to-End Product Leadership: Lead the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and general availability to scaling the platform to successfully support the largest, most complex school districts in the country.
  • Platform & Integration Strategy: Guide the strategy for integrating new modules into the broader Informed K12 ecosystem, ensuring a cohesive, unified platform experience for our customers.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver enterprise-grade solutions at scale, ensuring alignment from strategy through to implementation and customer value realization.
Skills & Experience Desired:
  • Experience: 10+ years of product leadership experience, with a demonstrated track record of launching and scaling B2B SaaS platform products in complex enterprise environments.
  • Data-Driven Product Leadership: Proven experience building and launching modern, data-driven products. You have deep knowledge of what it takes to deliver sophisticated automation and workflows that solve real user problems.
  • Enterprise & Platform Expertise: Deep experience with enterprise-grade solutions in domains such as FinTech, Workforce Management, or core business platforms. You understand how to build for scale, data complexity, and the demands of large enterprise customers (e.g., Fortune 50).
  • Team Builder: You have a history of hiring, mentoring, and leading high-performing product teams (10+ PMs), with a reputation for being a trusted career advisor who builds environments where PMs thrive.
  • Strategic Mindset: You have the ability to deconstruct complex systems and problems, like a puzzle, and synthesize them into a cohesive product vision that balances long-term strategy with short-term execution.
  • Mission Alignment (Bonus): A passionate interest in applying technology to solve foundational challenges in K-12 education.
