OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

JOB DESCRIPTION

Red Seat Ventures partners with the world's top creators across multiple genres to grow and monetize their content — through advertising, subscription, live events, and beyond. We take a multiplatform approach spanning podcasting, video, FAST, and more, backed by our own proprietary tech stack including Supercast (subscription) and Speakeasy (hosting, distribution, and monetization).

Named after Ted Williams' longest home run at Fenway Park, RSV was built with a simple mandate: swing for the fences. Today, we're the fastest-growing creator network, backed by Tubi Media Group and Fox Corporation.

Position Overview

The Sr. Manager, Revenue Operations bridges the gap between sales strategy, technology, and data analytics. You will eliminate friction in the sales cycle by optimizing our revenue, building robust forecasting models, and maximizing inventory yield. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with Sales Leadership, Finance, and Account Executives (AEs) to align sales performance with our overarching financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Technology & Infrastructure

  • Optimize Systems & Maintain Data Integrity: Act as the system administrator to ensure clean data entry, accurate tracking, and seamless integration between platforms.
  • Automate Workflows: Design and deploy automated processes to reduce administrative tasks for the sales team.
  • Maintain and refine Account Executive (AE) coverage lists.

Forecasting & Pipeline Management

  • Build Models: Develop data-driven revenue forecasting models to provide executive leadership with predictable, forward-looking insights.
  • Sales Planning: Connect sales goals to pipeline, historical performance, product opportunity and forecast assumptions.
  • Pipeline Management: Monitor sales pipeline health, conversion rates, and deal stage to anticipate shifts in ad spend and market demand.
  • Guide Strategy: Turn pipeline data into actionable insights that help sales teams proactively address gaps in the revenue funnel.Investigate questions that are not readily answered by existing reports, distinguish signal from noise, and analyze performance by product, show, AE, account, advertiser, and campaign. Turn findings into decisions and follow-through.

Go-To-Market (GTM) Data & Analytics

  • Unified Dashboards: Build holistic reporting structures tracking performance by product (Video, YouTube, Audio, Direct Network, Programmatic). Also provide AEs and Leadership with customized reporting, dashboard and account spend analysis.
  • AE Specific Reporting: Create centralized dashboards for individual AEs to track weekly closed revenue and pipeline metrics, serving as the champion of the CRM.
  • Deep-Dive Analytics: Conduct revenue analysis, track year-over-year (YOY) account growth/declines, identify non-returning quarterly revenue, etc.
  • Business Planning: Formulate annual and year-end AE business plans using historical performance data to help FY planning in top down and bottoms up formats.
  • Build the capability to scale: Partner across departments to ensure processes, reporting, and technology support commercial decision-making. Help automate recurring analysis and establish repeatable practices as Red Seat Ventures grows.
  • Identify growth opportunities: Use client, advertiser, market, product, and pipeline data to identify untapped accounts, categories, agencies, products, and distribution opportunities. Develop options for where Sales could focus and how existing relationships could grow.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: 5-7+ years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or Commercial Finance, ideally within media, digital advertising, or SaaS.
  • Analytical Skills: Mastery of Excel/Google Sheets and data visualization tools to synthesize messy data sets into clean, executive-ready charts.
  • Agility: Can answer ambiguous business questions and  work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to turn analysis into action.

Preferred Skills

  • Industry Context: Deep understanding of the advertising sales industry and accounts lists; including the advertising ecosystem, specifically Podcasting, YouTube and Social.
  • Commercial Decision Influence: Experience with using data to influence sales planning, account prioritization, pricing, packaging, ratecards, yield, and revenue planning.
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex data trends to non-technical sales reps and executives alike.
  • CRM Expertise: Advanced, hands-on administration experience with Salesforce (building dashboards, custom objects, and reports).
