ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior Technical Product Manager Enablement Framework (PREF) at Accela, you will translate customer and delivery needs into reusable standards, tools, and automations that make plan review implementations faster, cheaper, and more consistent across segments. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, Services, Partners, and customers—owning the roadmap for PREF while enabling teams to deliver at scale.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Define & scale standards: Create implementation standards, best practices, and governance for plan review that can be reused across projects.
  • Build enablement tooling: Design and prioritize software utilities, UI components, templates, and frameworks (JS/Node-based) that automate consultant workflows and enable customer self-service.
  • Enable partners & teams: Train, mentor, and certify internal consultants and partners; evangelize PREF; uphold QA and delivery excellence.
  • Document the framework: Produce clear technical and process documentation that drives adoption and consistency.
  • Advise on projects: Join strategic customer engagements to validate requirements, shape solution architecture/configuration, and harvest insights back into PREF.
  • Operate the program: Stand up project tracking in Jira/Confluence; define dashboards, KPIs, and resourcing views; support budgeting and cost controls.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong JavaScript/Node.js skills; working knowledge of SaaS architectures, multi-tenancy, relational databases, and REST APIs.
  • Proven experience with project governance, portfolio/resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
  • Excellent communicator able to explain complex workflows to technical and non-technical audiences.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with local government building/planning workflows.
  • Experience configuring/implementing the Accela Civic Platform.
  • Exposure to Java and/or .NET.
  • Hands-on with Jira/Confluence (workflows, dashboards, metrics).

COMPENSATION AND WELL-BEING
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000 - $180,000 (less applicable taxes). The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an annual base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus target. This is a discretionary bonus awarded based on company and individual goal achievement.
