JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join the Finance & Compensation team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, and manages multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across teams. This role offers exposure to corporate payroll, equity transactions, executive compensation, and proxy disclosure reporting, providing a unique opportunity to gain experience in highly visible areas of corporate finance and accounting.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the month-end close process for payroll and equity transactions, including analyzing accruals, reviewing P&L activity, and explaining variances
  • Prepare monthly cash and non-cash reconciliations in BlackLine for payroll and equity transactions within payroll bank accounts and related general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and assist with payroll year-end reconciliations, including W-2 reconciliations
  • Partner with the Head Office Accounting team to provide analysis and insight on salary and wage-related items on a monthly basis
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle for Corporate Office compensation
  • Assist in the preparation of annual salary increase files for the Corporate Office
  • Support quarterly reconciliation activities, including payroll taxes and pension payments
  • Assist with preparing tables and supporting documentation for annual proxy disclosures and executive compensation reporting
  • Maintain SOX compliance and support internal and external audit requests
  • Maintain executive compensation contracts and payroll schedules
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Finance, HR, Payroll, and Accounting to support compensation-related initiatives
  • Provide support to senior management on ad hoc projects and financial analyses

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1+ years of accounting or finance experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Workday HCM/Financials preferred
  • Experience with BlackLine preferred
  • Prior exposure to payroll or compensation accounting preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $70,000.00-78,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
