Staff Accountant

As Staff Accountant you will play an important role in managing day-to day financial operations and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for our Forward Financing USA entity. You will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and collaborate frequently with other members of the Strategy and Finance team as well as other internal stakeholders throughout the company. .

In this role you will:

• Support the monthly and annual financial close to ensure timely and accurate reporting, including preparation of journal entries, supporting schedules, monthly and daily account reconciliations and analysis.

• Support internal and external reporting requirements and analyses.

• Act as the primary payment administrator for a subset of our customers; releasing daily funding to SMB customers, applying cash payments, and reconciling internal applications.

• Review and monitor daily cash activities with daily cash reconciliations

• Process and ensure proper coding for accounts payable on a weekly basis

• Maintain Fixed Asset records and process monthly depreciation

• Assist with financial audits & reviews.

• Continuously drive process improvement across all areas of responsibility.

• 2+ years of experience, prior experience in public accounting preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting

• BS/BA+ in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, CPA) a plus, but not required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in Excel and experience with NetSuite or other accounting software are a plus, but not required.

• Must be based in Utah
