The staff accountant participates in all areas as needed. Maintains records, processes
paperwork, reconciliations, resolves discrepancies, end of period
processes, verifies information and monitors procedures to ensure
compliance with accounting procedures and company standards.
Responsibilities:

Job Description

  • Analyze and reconcile various general ledger accounts
  • Post journal entries for payroll
  • Assist with monthly inventory reports
  • General accounts payable and accounting duties
  • Ad hoc requests as required
  • Participate in month-end close process
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and provide balance justification
  • Maintain fixed assets
  • Monthly reporting package
  • Monthly closings
  • Reconciliations of accounts
  • Coordination with outside accountants
  • Assistance with external audits
  • Testing of new PeopleSoft functionalities from accounting perspective.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • 2 - 4 years working experience
  • CPA track: not required, but a plus
  • Excellent excell skills
  • Knowledge of PSFT a plus
