What is Glider?

Glider.fi is a groundbreaking product in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, designed to offer innovative solutions that have never been attempted on-chain before. Glider enables users to build, test, and automate non-custodial trading strategies on-chain. We are at the forefront of crypto trading development: intents, chain abstraction, verification, solvers, etc.

What are we hiring for?

We are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in the development of Glider.fi, one of our most ambitious projects. As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for building novel data models for crypto trading, working with cutting-edge technology, and contributing to a product that uses every piece of the crypto/DeFi stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js (TypeScript), MySQL/Drizzle, Axiom, and Sentry to support the evolving needs of Glider’s platform.

• Data-Driven Decision Making: Help structure and optimize Glider’s data models while contributing to liquidity analysis, PNL optimization, and performance monitoring.

• Time-Series Monitoring: Implement and maintain time-series-based monitoring systems to track and analyze trading strategies, performance, and liquidity.

• Dive Deep into Solvers: Work closely with python-based solvers and verifier networks to enhance strategy execution and ensure safe, efficient rebalancing of portfolios.

• Problem-Solving and Innovation: Solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, innovative environment while continuously pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in DeFi.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering with a strong understanding of data systems, crypto trading, and performance monitoring.

• Tech Stack Proficiency:

  • Strong expertise in Node.js (TypeScript), MySQL, Python

  • Experience with time-series-based monitoring, liquidity analysis, and PNL optimization

  • Familiarity with Verifier Networks like Eigenlayer

  • Proficient in data modeling within the trading domain (ie schemas for Glider’s block strategies)

  • Proven ability to design and implement novel solutions in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.

• Data Expertise: A strong believer in data-based decision-making, with the ability to structure and analyze complex data models.

• Passion for Crypto: A deep interest in the cryptocurrency and decentralized finance ecosystem, with a desire to explore and expand what is possible on-chain.
