About Suno

We're building the world's first creative entertainment platform, where the entire world can feel the joy and fulfilment of making music. Music is for everyone: Our users include everyone from grandmothers creating songs for their loved ones, to Grammy winners using Suno Studio, our power tool, to make the most popular hits in the world.

Building the future of entertainment requires ambition. The pace is fast, the problems are hard, and the work demands ownership and intensity. For the right people, it’s incredibly rewarding: a chance to shape a new medium, work with a small team that cares deeply about quality, make music, drink too much coffee, and build something that millions of people use to express themselves in ways that were never before possible.

Suno is the fastest growing consumer entertainment company and the leader in AI music. We are backed by leading investors including Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Matrix Partners, NVentures (venture arm of NVIDIA).

About the Role

Billing is one of the most consequential systems at Suno — it's where every product decision about value becomes real. We're looking for a detail-obsessed engineer to be our first dedicated billing hire and own this domain end-to-end. You'll set the technical direction, be a key voice in how we think about the future of our revenue model, and build infrastructure that has to be exactly right at scale.

What You'll Do
  • Own Suno's billing systems across web and mobile, including our Stripe and RevenueCat integrations, subscription lifecycle, and usage metering.

  • Lead the evolution of our billing architecture — including an in-progress migration to a modern ledger-based model — making it more maintainable and easier to reason about as the business grows.

  • Participate in product and strategy discussions about how Suno monetizes, bringing technical judgment to decisions that have direct revenue impact.

  • Build tools and systems that give the broader team more leverage.

What You'll Need
  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally building systems where being wrong has immediate real-world consequences — payments, financial infrastructure, distributed systems, or similar.

  • A natural instinct to think about failure modes first: what happens if this event arrives twice, out of order, or not at all?

  • Strong product sense alongside technical depth — you care about what users experience, not just what the code does.

  • A high bar for correctness that you hold yourself and others to without being told.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with Stripe is a plus.

  • A love for music is a huge plus.

Additional Notes: Applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

Location: This is an onsite role in our NYC or Cambridge, MA office.
