About the Production Intern Role:
The purpose of this internship is to provide support to the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival production team throughout a summer of performing arts programming at the Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park. The team is committed to high-level production values and safety, and the Production Intern is expected to contribute to a positive artist, audience, and co-worker experience.
Educational Benefits:
The Production intern will learn to operate production equipment in a live setting, gain insight into the day-to-day production operations of a performing arts festival, and expand on his or her academic studies through practical experience in a professional environment.
What You’ll Do in the Role:
The Stage Management - Production Intern will be responsible for the following, in addition to any other projects as assigned by their managers, the Stage Manager and Production Supervisor, BCBF:
- Work directly with the Stage Manager, Production Supervisor, Technical Director, Lighting Director, Audio Engineers and other staff
- Assist, coordinate and implement audio, lighting, video and staging technical needs.
- Assist in the operation of production (audio/lighting/video) equipment during shows.
- Specific department assignments based on experience and preference.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Willingness to work outdoors, early mornings, late nights, long days, and weekend shifts, and to work in inclement weather.

- Experience & Qualifications: Rising college senior or recent graduate from a theater/entertainment technology program preferred. Candidates must be reliable, committed, willing to work the entire summer production schedule, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Some experience working in production for live events is preferred.
We are looking for someone full of energy who is willing to learn and do whatever it takes to get the job done! The Production Intern will be very hands-on and an organized self-starter which will take part in making the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn Festival come to life.

Other Things to Know:
- Compensation: The salary for this position is $17/hr.
- Status and location: This is a seasonal role based at the Lena Horne Bandshell at Prospect Park.
- General Schedule:
- Load In: May 4th - June 3rd (Monday-Friday 8 hours/ day)
- BCBF Season: June 4th - September 19th (exact dates to be determined Approximately 10-14 hours/ day)
- Load Out: September 21st - October 3rd (12 days, 8 hours/ day)
