About Sent

Sent is an infrastructure for sending A2P messages across SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS through a single unified API. Our intelligent routing model automates channel selection based on deliverability and cost, ensuring lower cost and global reach without any channel-specific integrations.

We recently closed a $5.1M Seed round backed by Companyon Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, UIF, and CEAS Investments. We're hiring to build the best infrastructure to replace multi-channel messaging stacks.

About the Role

We're hiring a Startups Growth Advisor to work directly with Series A and Growth Stage companies evaluating Sent. You'll be the first conversation founders have with us, helping them understand how intelligent message routing fits into what they're building - whether that's transactional notifications, authentication flows, or customer engagement across channels.

You'll spend your time finding early-stage companies that need messaging infrastructure, starting conversations with technical founders and CTOs, and guiding them through an initial evaluation of Sent. When a company is ready for a deep technical demo, you'll connect them with the right people on our team and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

This role is perfect for someone early in their career who's genuinely curious about developer tools, enjoys talking to people building things, and wants to be at a company where the product sells itself once people see it.

What You'll Do

Pipeline Development

  • Identify and engage emerging markets & new verticals for companies building messaging infrastructure

  • Run outbound outreach through email, LinkedIn, and developer communities

  • Qualify inbound interest from marketing, content, and product signups

  • Research target companies using tools and product signals to personalize every conversation

Technical Discovery

  • Run first conversations with technical founders and early engineering teams to understand their messaging needs

  • Explain Sent's intelligent routing, channel coverage, and pricing model at a conversational level

  • Assess fit based on volume, use case, channel requirements, and timeline

Coordination & Follow-Through

  • Connect qualified companies with GTM Engineers and senior team members for technical evaluations

  • Maintain clean records in CRM with thorough notes and accurate pipeline data

  • Provide weekly reporting on pipeline activity and conversion

What You'll Bring

Required

  • 0–2 years of experience in a customer-facing or commercial role

  • Strong written and verbal communication - your outreach needs to land with technical founders

  • Genuine curiosity about developer tools, APIs, and how startups build products

  • Organized and disciplined with follow-up and data hygiene

  • Comfortable with high-volume outreach and proactive relationship-building

  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments

  • Located in NYC or willing to move

Nice to Have

  • Experience at an API-first, developer tools, or infrastructure company

  • Comfort reading API documentation or understanding basic integration concepts

  • Experience with CRM and outreach tools

What Makes This Role Special

  • Startup Territory: Work exclusively with founders and early-stage technical teams - every conversation is with someone building something new.

  • Advisory Positioning: You're helping startups make smart infrastructure decisions. Your credibility compounds with every conversation.

  • Ground Floor: Help define how Sent engages early-stage companies at a company that just closed $5.1M and is scaling fast.

  • Clear Growth Path: As you build expertise in the product and market, you'll grow into broader commercial roles.

Our Commitment to You

  • Meaningful equity with high growth potential

  • Competitive salary + uncapped commission

  • Top-tier medical, dental, vision fully covered

  • 401(k) with 100% match up to 4%

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Beautiful NYC workspace with daily meals and unlimited snacks

  • New MacBook Pro + Apple Studio Display

  • Fully comped Wellhub Gold or Equinox membership
