Job Description

The STARZ Content Insights team is a dynamic group of industry experts who leverage data and insights to drive strategic business decisions across the company. We support a variety of key stakeholders, including originals, program planning, content acquisition, distribution, and media relations, communicating content performance on the service and across the competitive landscape to help them understand audience behavior and identify growth opportunities.

As an Intern, you will gain valuable experience in the entertainment industry by supporting the Content Insights team in various projects, including:

  • Analyzing competitive landscapes and identifying industry trends across linear and streaming platforms
  • Developing business intelligence tools for key stakeholders
  • Exploring data models and statistical methods to support content performance forecasting
  • Hands-on experience with industry standard tools like Nielsen NPOWER, Snowflake datasets and Tableau for data visualization

Responsibilities

  • Support the Content Insights team in analyzing content performance data, including viewership, acquisition, demographics, and audience engagement
  • Conduct research and analysis on competitive brands and their content strategies
  • Assist in the development of presentations and dashboards to communicate data insights effectively
  • Support the team in various data reporting and analysis projects

Required Skills

  • A keen interest in the entertainment industry and a passion for data analytics
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Python or SQL a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel required
  • Basic data visualization skills with a strong preference towards Tableau
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts (preferred, not required)
  • Enrolled in a B.A. or B.S. program in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics

Compensation Data
The pay rate for this internship is $20/hr.

Important Dates

  • The STARZ Summer 2026 Internship program dates are: June 15, 2026 – August 21, 2026
  • All interns are required to attend orientation on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Details

  • Regular business hours are 9 AM – 6 PM Monday-Thursday and Friday 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
  • Interns must be enrolled in a college or university and classified as rising juniors or seniors
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
