Job Description

STARZ Publicity is seeking an intern for Summer 2026. This intern will work closely with the New York Publicity team to assist with daily tasks, projects and contribute to supporting series campaigns. Experience in public relations and communications or a major focused in that area is highly preferred.

Department Overview:
The STARZ Publicity team is responsible for creating and executing publicity campaigns for STARZ original series. The department works closely with cross-functional teams at STARZ to strategize and develop creative and strategic press campaigns to maximize press coverage and buzz in support of the network series and talent, especially win the leadup and during new series and season premieres. The team also works closely with the awards and events departments and maintains relationships with press members and industry organizations, especially those with interest in the areas of entertainment and culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the brainstorming of series launch campaigns and events
  • Gathering daily press clips for current and upcoming STARZ Original series
  • Assist with creating Publicity campaign decks
  • Assist with collecting and organizing assets
  • Building and maintaining press lists and contact sheets
  • Potential staffing support for events
  • Tracking news coverage for STARZ Original Series
  • Tracking TV industry press campaign trends
  • Assisting with talent itineraries

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects
  • Critical thinker, uses all available resources
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Familiarity with entertainment and television landscape, and an interest in keeping up to date on latest trends in film and television
  • Seeking a degree in Publicity, Public Relations, Communications, Media, Liberal Arts or a similar field

Compensation Data
The pay rate for this internship is $20/hr.

Important Dates

  • The STARZ Summer 2026 Internship program dates are: June 15, 2026 – August 21, 2026
  • All interns are required to attend orientation on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Details

  • Regular business hours are 9 AM – 6 PM Monday-Thursday and Friday 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
  • Interns must be enrolled in a college or university and classified as rising juniors or seniors
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
