Qumulo's cloud data platform manages exabytes of the world's most demanding data, unifying files, objects, and every workload across edge, core, and cloud - including for some of the biggest name in Sports, Media, & Entertainment.
About the Position:
This is primarily a new-logo sales role, owning a defined territory of sports teams, leagues, and media organizations across the New York region. We're looking for a hunter who builds their own pipeline: someone who can get into new accounts, find a path to the technical and executive buyers, and turn that into closed business.
As a Strategic Account Executive at Qumulo you will build relationships with key stakeholders including CTOs, VPs of Engineering and Technology, VPs of Media or Broadcast Operations, and the storage and infrastructure leaders who report to them. You will own and grow a set of high-value enterprise accounts within this vertical and deliver customer outcomes that drive Qumulo's long-term growth.
As a Strategic Account Executive at Qumulo, you will:

  • Land new logos across a defined set of sports teams, leagues, media, and broadcast organizations in the New York region - primarily through self-generated pipeline, not inbound or partner hand-offs.

  • Build relationships from the CTO down through the storage and infrastructure owners; multi-thread across technical and executive stakeholders.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans, including expansion and retention strategies for the accounts you win through disciplined account planning and a land-and-expand strategy.

  • Drive complex HW/SW sales cycles involving OEMs, resellers, and cloud partners.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align customer needs with the roadmap and run targeted account-based marketing.

  • Own accurate forecasting and pipeline management.

Our ideal Strategic Account Executive will have:

  • 7+ years of enterprise sales experience selling complex technology (such as storage, cloud, infrastructure, data management or data protection, video, streaming, broadcast, or media asset management) into sports, media, broadcast, entertainment, or production organizations.

  • A demonstrable track record of landing new logos through self-generated demand, not partner-led or inbound pipeline. You can walk us through how you got into organizations where you had no prior relationship.

  • Experience running complex, multi-stakeholder deals with C- and VP-level technical buyers.

  • The ability to easily and regularly commute into NYC.

  • Bonus points for: Existing relationships with sports leagues, sports teams, or major media and broadcast organizations in the region, fluency in how broadcast and production environments actually work, presence in industry organizations such as SVG, SMPTE, or NAB

The annual On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this role is $250,000 - $320,000 USD

Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills. Pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.

Benefits & Perks:
  • Pre-IPO stock options

  • Flexible time-off policy

  • HSA and PPO health insurance options

  • Dental and Vision insurance

  • 401(k) plan
