The Strategic Account Manager will manage key accounts in financial services, identifying growth opportunities, communicating with executives, and coordinating with teams to enhance service delivery.
We’re looking for a high-impact Strategic Account Manager to own and grow relationships with some of the world’s leading financial institutions. If you thrive in complex enterprise environments, know how to navigate both the boardroom and the engineering floor, and have a track record of expanding major accounts, this role is built for you.
In this role, you’ll operate as an independent, end-to-end owner — partnering with executives, delivery, and engineering teams to protect and expand mission-critical accounts across banking, capital markets, and wealth/asset management.
What You’ll Do
- Protect and grow flagship financial services accounts
- Identify whitespace opportunities and convert them into new SOWs
- Navigate enterprise procurement, budgeting, politics, and risk reviews
- Represent our firm to senior executives and technical leadership
- Operate with complete ownership and minimal oversight
What We’re Looking For (Preferred Capabilities)
- Consulting-grade professionalism with 5+ years in Financial Services, fintech, Big Tech, FS consulting, or enterprise B2B tech
- Proven ability to manage strategic accounts with revenue & growth targets
- Strategic thinker who can also execute — balancing long-term account planning with day-to-day tactical action
- Executive-level communicator: comfortable with CIOs, CTOs, MDs, and senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated success driving expansion, cross-sell, and upsell within complex financial institutions
- A tech-literate operator who can work seamlessly with product, engineering, and delivery to translate capabilities into business outcomes
- Full end-to-end ownership: account strategy, pipeline creation, solution shaping, proposals, and contract negotiation
Requirements
- 5+ years managing strategic accounts in financial services
- Direct experience working with technology and engineering stakeholders (not just business teams)
- Ability to operate independently, set strategy, and drive progress without supervision
- Hands-on experience navigating procurement cycles, budgeting processes, and multi-stakeholder enterprise environments
