About Nirvana

At Nirvana, we are revolutionizing the way benefit verification is handled. Recognizing its convoluted and opaque nature, we are dedicated to bringing transparency to the costs and coverage of healthcare. By leveraging machine learning and AI, we have developed tools that enable care providers across various specialties to seamlessly check coverage, from patient intake through continuous monitoring, saving significant time and resources.

Our mission extends beyond facilitating access to care, we aim to alleviate financial anxiety for those seeking medical assistance and for providers. Backed by Northzone, Inspired Capital, Eniac Ventures, Surface Ventures, and other leading investors, Nirvana is on a rapid growth trajectory. We serve some of the largest clients in healthcare, including Lifestance Health, Modern Health, and Headspace, and have expanded beyond behavioral health into physical therapy, intensive outpatient, primary care, and beyond.

Join us as we continue to transform healthcare, making it more transparent and accessible for everyone.

About the Role

Nirvana is looking for a driven, technically resourceful Strategic Accounts GTM Engineer to build and run account-based marketing against our highest-value target prospects. This role is as much about building the systems that surface and qualify the right accounts as it is about working them once they're identified. You'll design signal-based prospecting workflows, wire up AI agents and enrichment tools, and map relationships across our target accounts, then use what you've built to drive high-touch outreach and close deals.

This role sits within marketing and operates independently of the sales team's reporting structure, working closely alongside sales without being part of it. You'll have real latitude to make judgment calls on your own, from how an account gets approached to when something needs to get escalated. Some travel is expected for in-person meetings and industry events.

This is a foundational hire on a marketing team we're actively building out. As we add a Growth/Acquisition Lead and a Marketing Ops/Lifecycle Lead over the next year, this role has a clear path to GTM/Field Marketing Manager, owning the ABM function end to end and eventually managing additional headcount on the field/GTM side.

Location: NYC (hybrid). Candidates must be based in the New York City area.

What You'll Do

  • Build the prospecting engine (~50%): Set up signal tracking, AI-driven research and enrichment, and relationship mapping across our tiered account list. Build or configure the agents and automations that surface the right accounts and the right moment to approach them, instead of relying on manual research

  • Own account strategy (~30%): Turn what the prospecting engine surfaces into a real ABM playbook: sequence multi-touch outreach across email and LinkedIn, and match content (ROI calculators, reports, case studies) to the right accounts

  • Work the relationships (~20%): Execute high-touch outreach in an executive's voice on a small, deliberately limited set of strategic accounts. Sit down in person with prospects and decision-makers where it matters. Systematically work warm network and referral activation, customer referrals, investor intros, and partner intros

  • Own event strategy end to end: identifying which conferences and events matter, organizing and hosting our presence at them, prioritizing who to meet there, and following up after

  • Report on program performance and account engagement against the marketing pipeline attribution framework (Marketing-Sourced, Marketing-Influenced, Organic/Earned)

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years in a marketing, sales, GTM, or RevOps role, with a track record of building tools or workflows (scripts, AI agents, automations, enrichment pipelines) to solve a GTM problem, not just running someone else's playbook

  • A hacker mentality: comfortable poking around APIs, no-code/low-code tools, and AI agent builders to make prospecting faster and smarter, and enough technical range to build something functional yourself rather than waiting on eng

  • B2B experience selling to a defined ICP, ideally with exposure to healthcare, RCM, or payer/provider markets

  • A competitive drive to close and win, paired with strong independent judgment and a demonstrated ability to operate with minimal oversight. You'll get context and direction, not a script

  • Genuine comfort in face-to-face settings with senior prospects: socially confident, charismatic, and able to build trust quickly in person, not just over email or LinkedIn

  • Fluency with Salesforce and outbound sequencing tools, with the ability to pull and interpret your own pipeline data rather than waiting on someone else to report it back to you

  • Comfort building process where none exists yet, and a bias toward shipping over perfecting

How You'll Be Measured

  • Marketing sourced pipeline generated from tiered ABM accounts against a quarterly target

  • Warm network and referral activation rate: percentage of the target account/referral list actively worked each quarter, not just contacted once

  • Meeting-to-pipeline conversion rate on high-touch executive outreach accounts

  • Event-sourced pipeline and follow-up completion rate within a defined window post-event

  • Time-to-first-touch on new tiered accounts added to the list

What This Is Not

  • Not a quota-carrying SDR role

  • Not a design or brand execution role

  • Not a generic outbound prospecting role

  • Not a pure technical/eng role, the building serves the relationship work, not the other way around

Comp

$115,000 - $145,000 base salary/yr, DOE, plus variable comp (10-15% of base) tied to pipeline and account engagement performance

How We Support You

  • Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)

  • Hybrid, dog-friendly NYC office

  • Unlimited PTO

  • $1,000 annual mental health and wellness benefit

  • Remote home office support

  • Equity compensation

  • Fully stocked office kitchen

  • Open-door, highly collaborative culture
