As a Strategic Finance Associate, you will play a hands-on role in client engagements across a wide range of strategic finance projects. The position offers the opportunity to dive deep into analytics and financial modeling, while supporting transaction advisory workstreams and operational improvements. You will work closely with executive teams, providing actionable recommendations to enhance business performance and support strategic decision making.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and operational data reviews to surface actionable insights

  • Translate raw financial data into clear stories, insights, and strategic recommendations

  • Build financial models and dashboards that drive decision-making for CEOs, CFOs, and investors

  • Execute special projects including unit economics analysis, pricing strategy, and investment ROI

  • Prepare CEO-ready materials that will be used with senior management and BODs to make key decisions

  • Support Fundraising and M&A workstreams across financial analysis, deal materials, and investor questions

  • Own execution workstreams with a bias for precision, speed, and continuous improvement

  • Help shape the tools, templates, and best practices that define Kimblewick’s client experience

Who You Are:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or strategic finance

  • Independent critical thinker and entrepreneurial; you’re always looking for creative solutions

  • Excellent communication skills with an appreciation for internal vs. client facing tone

  • Proficient in Excel with a strong analytical background

    • Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a bonus

    • Knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau) is also advantageous

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree

Location: Based in New York City, with a hybrid work environment (open to in-person 2-4x/week)

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 NYC

  • Significant variable cash bonus opportunities

  • Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include variable pay or other types of compensation (e.g. equity), where applicable
