Since 2017, Flourish has been on a mission to help financial advisors evolve from holistic advice to holistic implementation to more fully serve their clients and achieve better outcomes. We focus on independent Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), delivering financial products that advisors can’t easily access today through beautiful, scalable, and easy-to-use technology.

Today, we work with over 1,000 RIAs that collectively represent more than $2.6T in assets under management across two products — Flourish Annuities and Flourish Cash — and with our recent acquisition of Sora Finance, we’ll be adding a lending offering in 2026. Headquartered in New York City, we are an independently-operating, wholly-owned subsidiary of MassMutual Life Insurance Company.

About You

You’re a strategic operator and relationship builder who excels at owning complex initiatives from idea to execution. You thrive at the intersection of market analysis, cross-functional execution, and external partner management. You’ll successfully manage strategic partnerships, lead sourcing and diligence efforts, and are confident navigating negotiations, onboarding, and long-term partner engagement.

Analytical and organized, you’re comfortable building financial models, evaluating market landscapes, and distilling insights into actionable strategies. You enjoy thinking several steps ahead, structuring ambiguous problems, and driving measurable outcomes. Whether designing scalable partnership programs or preparing executive-level presentations, you bring rigor, clarity, and follow-through.

As a self-starter and collaborator, you communicate with influence, operate with urgency, and know how to drive alignment across stakeholders. You’re excited by the opportunity to shape a growing partnerships function and work across fintech, banking, and WealthTech ecosystems.

About the Role

As the first Partnerships Associate on the team, you’ll report into the Head of Strategic Partnerships and play a critical role in scaling our bank and technology partner ecosystem. You’ll manage key partner relationships end-to-end, source and onboard new partners, and drive initiatives that unlock new distribution channels and revenue opportunities. You’ll lead market segmentation and analysis, develop models, and drive partnership strategy based on your research and analysis. This is a highly cross-functional role — you’ll collaborate with Legal, Risk, Operations, Marketing, and Product to bring partnerships to life and ensure they operate smoothly. You’ll work with the Head of Strategic Partnerships to manage strategic sourcing, quantitative and qualitative business case development, go-to-market execution, and ongoing performance management. You’ll help build a proactive, scalable, and high-impact partnerships function that supports Flourish’s next phase of growth.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end relationship management for a defined subset of bank partners, including regular touchpoints, contract renewals, strategic negotiations, and performance monitoring
  • Lead sourcing and qualification efforts through market research, segmentation, and sizing analysis. Oversee outreach, manage initial discussions, negotiate terms, and coordinate onboarding across internal teams.
  • Conduct capacity modeling, rate competitiveness analysis, and develop FDIC insurance calculation tools to inform partnership strategy and decision making
  • In collaboration with the Head of Strategic Partnership, develop and maintain partnerships relationship management framework to deepen engagement and drive program stability and growth
  • Strategically segment and evaluate the WealthTech and fintech ecosystems to identify and prioritize high-potential partnership opportunities
  • Coordinate internal initiatives across technology partnerships, including performance tracking, competitive analysis, and revenue optimization strategies
  • Create and maintain a pipeline of strategic partnership opportunities, which includes strategic sourcing, opportunity quantification, and business case development
  • Prepare executive-level presentations that combine quantitative and qualitative insights on market fit, opportunity size, level of effort, and economic impact
  • Design and launch repeatable preferred partnership programs for our Flourish products
  • Coordinate cross-functional go-to-market efforts for new partnerships, ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders
  • Define and track OKRs and performance metrics to drive consistent and measurable partnership outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally from a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, venture fund, fintech, financial services company, or role in strategic partnerships
  • Proven ability to manage external partner relationships end-to-end and drive cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to senior and executive audiences
  • Strong analytical thinker and problem solver, capable of building models, business cases, and high quality executive-level presentations and decks
  • Self-starter with a high level of ownership, energy, and adaptability who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Collaborative, resourceful, and comfortable working with minimal guidance in cross-functional teams
  • Passion for fintech, innovation, and building scalable partnership programs
  • Due to the nature of this position, as part of the background check process, candidates must be able to pass a fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA. For roles requiring registration, additional regulatory screenings may apply, including a review of Form U5 disclosures and other relevant licensing information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in or closely with fintechs, banks, or WealthTech platforms
  • Experience in a Strategy and Ops, BizOps, or Partnerships role at a startup or fintech company
  • Prior experience building or scaling a partnerships function, preferred partner programs, or go-to-market strategy
  • Exposure to B2B2C or platform distribution models, especially in financial services
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and partnership tracking or reporting systems
  • Experience drafting or negotiating partnership agreements or working with legal teams on deal structuring
  • Comfortable with light financial modeling, partner performance forecasting, or strategic planning frameworks
  • Experience representing a company at industry events or networking engagements
  • At Flourish, we focus on ensuring fair, equitable pay by providing competitive salaries, along with bonus and incentive opportunities and benefits for all employees.

Base Salary Range: $99,800 - $131,000 plus bonus
