As a venture-backed quantum hardware innovator experiencing rapid growth, we're building technology that will transform industries for decades to come. Quantum computers will be as transformative to the next 30 years as the internet was to the last 30—and our team is creating the hardware foundation to make this revolution possible.

We are seeking a highly motivated Strategy & Operations Lead to join our high-caliber business operations team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic initiatives at a fast-growing deep tech startup and work directly with company leadership to help shape Maybell Quantum’s strategic direction and growth trajectory.

You will work directly with company leadership to analyze new market opportunities, forge key industry relationships, and build a resilient, scalable supply chain for our groundbreaking technology. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, sharp analytical abilities, and strong communication skills, thriving in a dynamic, collaborative environment where they can drive strategy from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive-Level Project Management & Communications:
    • Structure and lead complex, cross-functional projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, and business teams to achieve strategic objectives.
    • Develop compelling presentations, investment memos, and other materials for the Board of Directors, investors, and strategic partners to communicate company strategy, progress, and key decisions.
  • Corporate & Partnership Strategy:
    • Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnerships with industry leaders, research institutions, and key customers to accelerate growth and market adoption.
    • Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic decisions, including partnerships, M&A opportunities, and new market entry.
    • Lead due diligence efforts and support negotiations for high-priority commercial agreements and corporate development activities.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning:
    • Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify emerging trends, threats, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to the leadership team.
    • Partner with the leadership team to define the company's long-term strategic roadmap, aligning product development, commercial goals, and operational capabilities.
  • Operational Excellence & Scalability
    • Design and implement scalable internal processes (e.g., OKR tracking, cross-functional sprints, knowledge management) that reduce friction and increase velocity as the team grows.
    • Identify bottlenecks in the "lab-to-market" value chain, collaborating with technical leads to streamline procurement, supply chain, or rapid prototyping workflows.
    • Manage critical "special projects" that fall outside the scope of traditional departments, such as office relocations, ERP implementations, or regulatory compliance audits.
  • Commercialization & Go-to-Market (GTM) Execution
    • Support the launch of early pilot programs by coordinating delivery timelines, managing customer expectations, and establishing feedback loops between the customer and the engineering team.
    • Develop and refine pricing models and unit economics analysis for novel technologies, transitioning from theoretical models to actual market-tested commercial frameworks.
    • Create sales enablement materials that translate complex technical specifications into clear value propositions for non-technical stakeholders and early adopters.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm with a track record of exceptional performance
  • Bachelor's degree from a leading institution
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations and communications
  • Excellent data visualization and storytelling capabilities
  • Adaptability and comfort operating in ambiguity
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for emerging technologies
  • Direct experience in hardware, deep tech, or quantum industries is not required but would be advantageous

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • You're a strategic thinker with prior experience at a top-tier management consulting firm looking to transition into a high-growth technology environment where you can make a tangible impact. You excel at synthesizing complex information into compelling narratives, have exceptional communication capabilities, and can translate strategic vision into actionable plans. Your polished presentation skills allow you to influence stakeholders at all levels.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary range $160,000-$180,000, with additional compensation through performance bonuses and equity options in one of the country's most promising startups
  • Growth Trajectory: Significant opportunities for professional development and career advancement in a rapidly scaling organization
  • Impact: Direct influence on the success of a company developing revolutionary technology
  • Exceptional Team: Collaboration with world-class scientists, engineers, and business leaders who are defining a new industry
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible PTO policy, and more

Maybell Quantum is solving incredibly challenging problems at the cutting edge of physics and engineering. If you're excited about applying your strategic consulting experience to help build a category-defining company, we want to hear from you.

Maybell Quantum is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse team.
