BSSP is looking for a Strategy Director to join the Brand Strategy group at the agency. Driven by an endless curiosity, you’re a connector -- someone who sees cultural insight, behavioral data, and the power of creativity all as forces to tell simple and compelling stories. As a key strategy leader in the agency, your ability to inspire clients and agency partners alike will be shown through the consistency and the potency of your thinking. You’ll help lead a multidisciplinary group across the strategy function, partnering with Communications and Data strategists, to build business driving, culturally relevant, ideas together.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helping build, nurture and grow the overall brand strategy discipline while leading key pieces of client business
- Oversee and own the strategic process from discovery to insights to effectiveness
- Lead with the speed of culture; bring the foresight to see what’s next and lean in to take action against it, working in real-time to move a strategic story and the business forward
- Collaborate across departments in the agency, building relationships with both Comms and Data Strategy, and the Creative group to help make fresh new things together
REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years integrated strategy experience, demonstrating how a diverse set of insights (brand, culture, consumer, media) drive brand platforms and all of the respective cross-channel executions
- Deep understanding of audiences and the cultural landscape today, with a unique ability to see the world through different perspectives and reflect it with empathy
- Solid understanding and work in digital and social
- A history of, and a passion for ideas big enough to resonate in broader culture
- Ability to “connect the dots,” across strategic disciplines, business challenges and insights, to distill your thinking into actionable inspiration for teams
- The flexibility to think big and small, leading the strategy process, steering the vision for a brand, but equally hungry to get in the work and craft the thinking
- Experience with Sports and Entertainment, Wellness and CPG categories is a major plus
