Summer 2027 Outsourced CIO Internship

Cerity Partners is searching for talented, bright, and motivated individuals with the highest level of personal integrity to join our NYC OCIO team to assist with daily tasks focused on delivering client outcomes. We provide outsourced investment services to endowments, foundations, and other institutional investors. As an intern, you will be responsible for providing administrative and project support to three NYC OCIO teams: the Client Services team, the Operations, Accounting and Finance team, and the administrative team. You may assist all NYC OCIO teams with client reporting, month-end close and audit support, and client material preparation.

This is a paid internship program (30-40 hours/week) and a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a professional environment. This role is ideal for someone looking for authentic exposure to the financial industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory.

Primary Responsibilities:

As an intern you will work closely with the team to deliver on existing work priorities as well as participate in projects as needed. This may include:

• Assisting the team in monitoring client correspondence. This may include, but is not limited to, daily review of emails, retrieving and saving documents (such as capital call and distribution notices, tax documents, audited financial statement, K1, performance, capital account statements, monthly/quarterly letters, etc.), creating reminders to ensure timely action is taken.
• Assist with month-end close and perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Help with Accounts Payable transactions including data entry, expense report processing and filing.
• Take part in cycle counts with Accounting and the Operations teams.
• Reviewing team materials for accuracy.
• Assist in preparing materials for client or internal meetings.
• Perform ad hoc projects and tasks related to internal and external requests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA
• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related degree.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Actively participating in campus organizations, preferably within a leadership role, and/or professional work experience.
