About Sandstone

Sandstone is on a mission to elevate in-house legal from a support function into a true strategic partner. From day one, we’ve been clear about what we are—and are not. We are not replacing in-house legal teams. We are building a platform that amplifies them.

Our platform enables modern legal teams to move at the speed of AI, deliver better outcomes, and create measurable business value. We unify legal data, power end-to-end workflows, and organize business context within the tools teams already use. Sandstone is the home for AI-native legal departments.

Today, Sandstone is trusted by Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing innovators alike. We ship quickly, iterate relentlessly, and scale with intention.

When you join Sandstone, you become part of a team that believes deeply in the compounding power of collaboration, rigorous problem-solving, and obsessive attention to detail. Our engineering team is elite, our lawyers ship code every day, and we are dedicated to building the most delightful product an in-house lawyer opens in the morning—and closes at the end of the day.

The Role

Most internships show you how companies operate. This one puts you inside the work of building one.

Sandstone is hiring a small group of summer interns to work directly with our team across Product, Legal, Operations, and Growth. Instead of shadowing meetings or working on hypothetical projects, interns take ownership of real initiatives that impact how our product is built, how we serve customers, and how we scale the company.

You will work closely with founders and operators who are solving real problems in real time. That means learning how decisions get made, how products evolve, and how systems are built when the path forward is not always obvious.

By the end of the program, interns leave with a clear understanding of how an early-stage technology company actually operates, along with experience contributing to meaningful work inside a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Work On

High-impact projects tied directly to company priorities. This could include supporting product development initiatives, analyzing operational workflows, researching legal or regulatory frameworks, or contributing to growth and go-to-market initiatives.

Research and analysis to help teams better understand markets, customers, and product opportunities.

Building internal systems and documentation that help teams move faster as the company scales.

Cross-functional collaboration with members of Product, Legal, Operations, and Growth to understand how these functions work together inside an enterprise software company.

What We Look For

- Curiosity about how systems work and why companies make the decisions they do.

- A bias toward action and comfort operating in environments where structure is still evolving.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to organize ideas clearly in writing and conversation.

- Analytical thinking and the ability to break down problems into practical solutions.

- Interest in startups, technology, and how products are brought to market.

Program Details

The Sandstone Summer Internship runs approximately 10–12 weeks. Interns work closely with senior team members and receive regular feedback throughout the program.

At the end of the internship, each intern will present the projects they worked on and the impact of their contributions.

This program is designed for students or recent graduates who want hands-on experience inside a fast-growing technology company and exposure to how different functions come together to build products that solve real problems.

If you’re interested in working closely with builders, learning quickly, and contributing to meaningful work, we’d love to hear from you. Return offers will be considered based on performance throughout the internship period.
