Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Assistant supports purchasing, planning, sourcing, and inbound logistics for a U.S.-based mattress manufacturing operation, helping ensure packaging materials and other supplies are available when needed while maintaining accurate purchasing, shipment, receipt, and landed-cost information.


What You’ll Be Doing:  

  • Purchase, plan, and source domestic packaging products to support U.S.-based mattress manufacturing operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery schedules.
  • Perform domestic in-factory components trials related to packaging changes. 
  • Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring materials are ordered accurately and on time.
  • Order non-inventory items required to support manufacturing and business operations.
  • Track inbound shipments from suppliers through delivery and receipt.
  • Monitor receipts and reconcile deliveries against purchase orders and supplier documentation.
  • Track and maintain accurate landed costs for inbound materials, including applicable freight and other associated costs.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal teams regarding order status, delivery schedules, shortages, discrepancies, and delays.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, shipment, receipt, and cost records.
  • Identify potential supply issues and proactively coordinate solutions to minimize disruptions to manufacturing.
  • Travel on-site to our manufacturing partner in Greenbrier, TN

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in purchasing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing.
  • Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple purchase orders, suppliers, and delivery timelines simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and purchasing, inventory, or ERP systems. Experience with Netsuite is preferable. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Able and willing to work in-office 3 days a week in Clarksville, TN
  • Able and willing to travel to our manufacturing partner in Greenbrier, TN up to 10%
