Who You Are
You are an analytical and action-oriented problem solver with experience in Supply Chain and a strong foundation in demand planning. You have applied key demand planning concepts to develop purchasing and inventory strategies that maintain efficient stock levels while supporting business growth. You are comfortable working with data to inform decisions, build inventory models, and provide visibility into key performance indicators. You collaborate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve issues and drive optimal outcomes. You are proactive in identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve ways of working for yourself and your teammates. You are excited to take ownership of a supply chain within a fast-paced and innovative company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the inventory levels of materials across the company’s supply chain, including packaging, WIP product, finished goods, and fulfillment materials.
- Leverage a combination of historical fulfillment data, forecasts, and lead times to create purchasing plans
- Manage the data entry, upkeep, and improvement of inventory management tools to ensure the company has the appropriate visibility to inform purchase order timing and quantities
- Execute purchase orders with vendors, which includes placing POs in an ERP (NetSuite), making necessary adjustments if needed by the supplier, planning out ship date schedules, and working with logistics partners to deliver products to their final destination.
- Collect and organize the appropriate shipment and quality records for all purchase orders and shipments, leveraging our ERP (NetSuite)
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics between our manufacturing plant, suppliers, contract manufacturers, off-site warehousing and 3PL partners
- Problem-solve unexpected issues and roadblocks with our manufacturing team, suppliers and logistics partners
- Analyze the impact of various initiatives including new product or recipe launches, marketing promotions and new channel or warehouse expansion, to adjust demand forecast and purchase plans accordingly
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in business, engineering, supply chain & logistics, or related field
- 2+ years experience managing inventory in a procurement / supply chain function
- Comfortable working in Excel to forecast demand and plan purchase orders
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Parity Factory or other ERP/MES/WMS systems a plus
- Comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders to diagnose problems
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Dog lovers a plus!
This is a hybrid position based in our Midtown Manhattan office. In office presence is required on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
