We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Supply & Demand Planning Analyst to join quip's Operations team. This role will support both supply planning and demand planning activities, including purchase order (PO) management, inventory planning, forecasting support, SKU setup, and supplier communications. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, comfortable working in spreadsheets and ERP systems, and able to adapt in a lean, fast-paced environment. Approximately 75–85% of the work will be executional (managing POs, inventory, forecasts, SKUs, and reporting), with 15–25% focused on proactive problem-solving, forecast analysis, and continuous improvement. This role reports into the Supply Planning and Inventory Manager. 

This is a remote role but will be asked to come to our NYC offices two times per year. 

Base Salary: $55k to $75k

This range represents anticipated base salary range for this position, in addition to competitive benefits and equity (as applicable). We carefully assess and consider several factors with each candidate, including location, role-related knowledge, experience and skills. Compensation may vary based on these considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase Order (PO) Management (30%)
    • Own PO processes end-to-end (issuance, updates, supplier communication, and closure) across ~10 suppliers.  
    • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and delivery schedules to support inventory targets.
  • Demand Planning & Forecast Support (25%)
    • Assist in updating demand and supply forecasts using inputs from sales, marketing, product launches and historical trends.
    • Incorporate input from cross-functional teams such as promotional plans, seasonality and business initiatives.
  • SKU, Inventory & Pricing Management (10%)
    • Create new SKUs, update pricing, and ensure accuracy across systems.
    • Support inventory planning by monitoring stock levels, safety stock targets, and inventory health metrics.
  • Supplier Communication (10%)
    • Act as a key liaison with suppliers via email and Flexport messaging, clarifying requirements and relaying updates that drive PO adjustments.
  • Reporting & Analytics (15%)
    • Maintain recurring reports and dashboards within NetSuite and related systems.
  • Operational Support / Continuous Improvement (10%)
    • Uphold and execute documented SOPs while contributing ideas for process improvements.
    • Support product launches, logistics transitions, and planning process enhancements.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, or operations.
  • CPG industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proven proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, forecasting models, scenario analysis).
  • Experience supporting demand forecasting, inventory planning, or S&OP processes.
  • Ability to use essential spreadsheet keyboard shortcuts for efficiency.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage vendor communication, resolve PO-related issues, and balance supply constraints with forecasted demand.
  • Ability to thoughtfully utilize AI-powered tools to support data analysis, identify trends, streamline reporting, and enhance planning processes.
