PURPOSE:
The Supply Planning Manager has the overall responsibility for all operational aspects of Flipz & Turtles manufactured products, internal or contract. The operational execution includes planning, procurement, freight issues, quality control, inventory management, and customer service to meet the needs of NA Supply Chain. Financial responsibilities encompass full fiscal responsibility for the department, including price negotiation, budgeting, meeting targets, and proposal/execution of required capital expenditures. Strategic execution entails development of a strategic vision; specific mid and long term strategic plans, project implementation to support continuous supplier and internal process improvement. Advise Plant Manager of critical strategic issues in alignment with Regional/Corp guidance. Participate in NA S&OP process, driving Supply Planning input in coordination with Supply Chain Leadership.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:
Participate in development of strategic plans and align departmental goals, including the development of Supply Chain strategies
Lead materials management activities for the Supply Chain – planning/scheduling, inventory management, procurement, logistics
Monitor safety stock and sourcing rules compliance. Plans to be adequate to minimize the impact of demand forecast variability as well as to minimize the risk of inventory write-off
Implement methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain to achieve cost-effective logistics practices and inventory levels while meeting customer delivery requirements
As part of the monthly S&OP Alignment and Reconciliation sub process, insures that significant demand/supply gaps of product families have appropriate alternatives.
On a monthly basis, review case fill rate and failure tree, reasons for rejection, freshness gate out and stock coverage (days of inventory).
Build organizational capability though development plans, mentoring, driving accountability, cross-training & succession planning
Collaborate with other management leaders and recommend alternative course of action as part of process to reconcile differences between production capacity and demand.
Support compliance initiatives and corporate commodity, logistics, and inventory strategies to achieve synergy across the operation
Establish and maintain Supply Chain procedures for the department
Maintain inventory levels to support business unit working capital objectives
Must balance the delivery of products to minimize the working capital expense associated with carrying inventory
Reports problems regarding food safety to Supervisor or Manager.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
Essential Criteria
Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control and shipping and receiving.
Proven Leadership skills - capability to lead change in a team environment across multiple sites.
Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to management.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen
Understanding of forecasting and budgeting
Proficient in MS Office
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Working knowledge of MS office, strong excel capabilities, ERP (SAP)
Desirable Criteria
Proficient in Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools.
Detailed knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management
Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA in Supply Chain or relevant field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain
Minimum of 2-year supervisory experience.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
Base starting salary ranges from $92k - $115k/year. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role includes:
