About the Role

Dentsu is looking for a self-motivated seasoned growth leader capable of driving new business and prospecting strategies. The SVP, Growth will play a significant role in shaping Dentsu's growth trajectory, driving integrated new business efforts, and elevating the organization’s competitive position in the market. This leader brings media expertise with an integrated mindset.   Reporting to the EVP, Partnerships & Growth, this leader will build a robust pipeline of opportunities, and partner closely with executive leadership to convert strategic and tactical new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate for this role has a proven track record in developing a strong agency pipeline, is a natural networker, and thrives in fast-paced and high-pressure environments. 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & New Business Operations

  • Lead the new business strategy, identifying and prioritizing growth opportunities across target markets and industries. 

  • Oversee daily growth operations, including status meetings, deliverable tracking, resource alignment, and milestone management.

  • Build and manage detailed timing plans to ensure seamless, timely, opportunity mapping and engagement.

  • Lead the creation of briefing materials such as client background research, internal kickoff documents, competitive intelligence, and organizational charts.

  • Confidently lead credentials presentations, pitch meetings, and the completion of RFP/RFI submissions.

  • Maintain daily communication with agency leaders and SME’s to ensure alignment and accountability.

Growth Strategy & Pipeline Development

  • Partner with the Chief Growth Officer to shape Dentsu's growth strategy and convert inbound opportunities.

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of integrated new business opportunities across Media, Creative, and CXM.

  • Identify whitespace opportunities and emerging categories aligned with Dentsu's capabilities and market ambition.

  • Develop forecasting models and reporting frameworks to track pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue performance.

  • Bring a media first view to growth planning, ensuring pitches and proposals reflect the best integrated media thinking, amplified by dentsu’s data & tech capabilities.

Leadership & Cross Functional‑ Collaboration

  • Provide executive-level insights and recommendations to support long-term growth planning. 

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across media, creative, strategy, analytics, and operations to deliver fully integrated proposals.

  • Ensure the right resources are engaged at the right time, adjusting staffing and workflows as needed.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability across all pitch teams.

  • Serve as a senior ambassador for Dentsu's values, capabilities, and integrated offerings.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, growth, or senior leadership roles within a media, creative, or integrated agency environment.

  • Proven record of accomplishment of winning large‑scale, competitive, integrated pitches at the highest level.

  • Deep expertise in media, with a strong understanding of integrated marketing and cross channel‑ strategy.

  • Experience within major holding companies strongly preferred

  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to build strong internal and external partnerships.

  • Highly organized, detail oriented‑, and able to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams directly and cross functionally‑, inspiring confidence and clarity.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate client needs into compelling, integrated solutions. 

  • Ability to travel on a monthly basis at minimum (travel cadence will depend upon location). 

The annual base salary range for this position is $171,500-$263,062 . Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.  Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
